EP15 Escaping the Trauma Factory: How to Change Your Frequency After Hard Resets with Brie Rhiannon
Brie Rhiannon fell off a bathroom counter at three months old, got her first concussion, and her first house Saturn in Capricorn said that was only the first lesson in hard knocks. Now this second-generation astrologer & self-described transformation specialist shows you how to change your frequency, out loud, in one sentence.
Laurel Kassor, host of Made for This, sits down with Brie Rhiannon, whose path has taken her from child acting and fashion to aerospace, renewable energy, tarot, and spiritual work. What begins as a conversation about birth charts becomes a deeper exploration of transformation, trauma, frequency, and what happens when we stop apologizing for the way we’re wired.
Laurel and Brie challenge the old playbook and explore why astrology’s real power comes from evolving with new knowledge—and using it as a practical tool for understanding yourself, your patterns, and your life.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
Why Brie calls herself a transformation specialist
How engineering, physics, and astrology became part of the same worldview
Why she sees the birth chart as a factory-default setting—not a life sentence
How childhood concussions, performance pressure, and health crises shaped her path
The relationship between trauma, polarity, and nervous-system regulation
Why one-size-fits-all spirituality and meditation don’t work for everyone
How frequency practices can support greater calm, clarity, and self-trust
How astrology can help us recognize patterns without limiting our potential
Laurel traces key turning points in Brie’s life through astrology, connecting medical trauma, theater training, mental-health challenges, career pivots, heartbreak, and her return to spiritual practice
CHART RESONANCE
We look specifically at Brie's Scorpio stellium in the 10th, Saturn in Capricorn, Mars retrograde in Gemini & a Cancer Moon opposite Uranus to understand how a life of hard resets isn't a blockage, but a blueprint for frequency work.

Laurel Kassor (00:00)
Welcome to Orbit Seekers. This is episode 15 of Made for This with Laurel Kassor the podcast where soul led practitioners, educators, and creatives come together to connect the constellations of how astrology turns from abstract insight to real world impact when you follow your soul's arc.
I'm Laurel Kassor your Astro Oracle host and the founder of Soul A.R.C. Astrology, and today I have my siSTAR beside me on the front lines of astrology's new era of consciousness, Brie Rhiannon. Brie is a Scorpio Sun, Cancer Moon, Capricorn Rising, and a freaking second generation astrologer and spiritual practitioner who took the laws of physics and engineering principles that she picked up while working in aerospace and renewable energy, even working on the Artemis projects. Yes, that, that Artemis, the one who saw the moons, hinnie And
Brie Rhiannon (00:49)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (00:50)
she built her own methods for understanding reality and how we exist within it. But before any of that, she spent 16 years as a child actor.
And somehow her birth chart contains it all. I can't wait to get into this with you. Brie, thank you for being here.
Brie Rhiannon (01:15)
Hello.
I'm so excited.
Laurel Kassor (01:17)
I'm so excited to have you. We've been looking forward to this for weeks and weeks now.
Well, Brie, tell us a little bit more about the work that you do and the people you serve and your philosophy behind it because wow girl, we got a lot going on here.
Brie Rhiannon (01:33)
Yeah,
Sixth House Cancer Moon. So I am definitely that nurturing, mothering type energy in service of others to a T. It's like, let me help you. It's just my vibe. I'm very, very mother hen always have been always will be. And I think that finding my way to becoming the professional spiritual practitioners really exactly what I needed to do because
Laurel Kassor (01:59)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (01:59)
then that was playing out in my friendships and in my relationships and that's actually really not
Laurel Kassor (02:03)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (02:04)
the most healthy thing and I can't save everybody and fix all of their problems and stuff. Yeah, yeah. So
Laurel Kassor (02:09)
That's a very real thing that I think many practitioners move through.
Brie Rhiannon (02:14)
I refer to myself as a transformation specialist.
My frequency signature quite literally is transformation as well. And so even when we talk about all of the things that I've ever done, it's well, as a kid, I was transforming into other people playing characters for 16 years in fashion. I'm transforming the way people are dressing, the way they feel about themselves, their self-confidence and their self-love when they look in the mirror and when they walk out in public. And then after that, it's I transitioned into it was home remodeling first, then
solar, then the engineering stuff. It was kind of just this domino of a path that all led into each other. And all of that is very transformative. you're transforming
Laurel Kassor (02:53)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (02:54)
something about the home, the way you use your electricity or develop your electricity. then it was just, mean, engineering is all of it's transformative. it
doesn't matter what we're working on using the Artemis project in particular.
Obviously we're transforming our relationship with the moon and the fact that we'd never seen the other side of it. So that was just a huge transformative experience for all of humanity.
I'm not technically an engineer. I was in I'm in sales. It's I'm just
Laurel Kassor (03:18)
Uh-huh. Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (03:19)
I'm in sales and also wholesale and stuff in fashion. I worked in the free people showroom for my internship.
Laurel Kassor (03:24)
Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (03:26)
So it's then you're working with the boutiques that sell free people and it's they're buying from you. So it's my energy is a lot of I guess buying and selling of stuff.
Laurel Kassor (03:35)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (03:37)
is kind of
what I really do. It's really interesting. So I always was like, how am I here? how am I in these rooms? Because I majored in fashion, merchandising and marketing. I don't have an engineering degree or anything like that. But then I just started to learn everything and I got to...
Ask I was working for a Japanese test and measurement company that was really focused. That was the renewable energy stuff. Very, very focused on electrical engineering more than anything.
Laurel Kassor (04:07)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (04:08)
And I remember I asked them, are you sure that I don't need to be an engineer to do this job? And they're like, yes, we want people, people and you're going to have engineers on the call. It's going to be fine. And then I was like, you know, truth be told, I would really like to understand.
Laurel Kassor (04:22)
Mm-hmm,
mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (04:24)
And I just will have more confidence talking to people if I can understand and would it be cool if you just kind of gave me like a crash course in electrical engineering? So I got to have a German engineer who's a PhD.
in electrical engineering sit me down and they had never been asked this before by any kind of salesperson they'd ever hired. They had never been asked will you teach me all of this? So yeah he made powerpoints and stuff and I just sat with him for a couple of hours every day for months and
Laurel Kassor (04:56)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (04:57)
learned learned about electrical engineering just so that I could I said get my sea legs.
Laurel Kassor (05:02)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (05:03)
And my very first sale ever, ever, ever in that world really was to NASA.
Laurel Kassor (05:07)
Wow.
Brie Rhiannon (05:08)
Yeah. I didn't I don't think I realized what I was getting myself involved in here. And
Laurel Kassor (05:11)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (05:13)
it was it's even though I wasn't the one answering all the technical questions, I was still fielding all of it. And it just gave me such bad imposter syndrome. I can't I cannot I can't.
Laurel Kassor (05:24)
Mm-hmm,
mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (05:25)
I can't
do that. It's if I don't feel confident in what I'm doing, I am not a fake it till you make it girly.
Laurel Kassor (05:32)
Yeah. Right.
Brie Rhiannon (05:34)
So that's
Laurel Kassor (05:34)
Okay, wow.
Brie Rhiannon (05:35)
how I got to get involved with all of that.
So yeah, I learned the engineering stuff and that's when I started, I think it's really just insane pattern recognition, right?
Laurel Kassor (05:43)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (05:44)
Because growing up with my mom being a professional astrologer and now she's also a sound healer. It's a type of Chinese acupuncture based in tuning forks instead of needles. So yeah,
Laurel Kassor (05:56)
cool, yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (05:58)
so it is based in quantum physics. It's if you take her level one class, it's kind of the meat and potatoes of everything that you end up learning.
Laurel Kassor (06:04)
Uh-huh.
Brie Rhiannon (06:05)
is
how the body responds to sound and frequency and why and how all of that works. So I've kind of just been surrounded by it, adjacent to it. My mom calls me a sponge.
my mom even pushing me to do this because I was just well, I've never taken an actual astrology class.
Laurel Kassor (06:24)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (06:25)
And so there's a part of me that felt I don't know enough.
Laurel Kassor (06:28)
Right. Right. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (06:30)
And it's well, well, no, you do. And it's you've been growing up around it. It's everything that was ever happening in my life. My mom would just be well, you have this planet doing this and.
Laurel Kassor (06:40)
There's literally so
much you've already said that I'm just girl, it's the chart. It's the chart.
Brie Rhiannon (06:44)
Yeah, so I had to have a lot of
people actually really open my eyes to my own self. Yeah,
Laurel Kassor (06:51)
yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (06:53)
it's that's kind of a huge pattern in my story is having
Laurel Kassor (06:56)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (06:57)
other people be like, girl, what the hell? Why are you stopping yourself from this?
Laurel Kassor (07:02)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (07:03)
It's funny, I wasn't even doing astrology readings a few years ago
Laurel Kassor (07:07)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (07:07)
and
Now that you know me now, you're huh? what do you mean? What do you mean? And
Laurel Kassor (07:09)
Yeah, I couldn't imagine it.
Brie Rhiannon (07:12)
it's because my mom was you know, psychic astrology or intuitive astrology, you're channeling it is a thing. People offer
Laurel Kassor (07:18)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (07:20)
those types of readings and I'm over here well, no, it's all just the clinical traditional understanding of the aspects and
Laurel Kassor (07:28)
Right.
Brie Rhiannon (07:28)
And that was what I felt like oh, I don't don't know enough. I'm not I'm not formally educated in all of these
Laurel Kassor (07:34)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (07:34)
things. And so it was a bunch of people between my mom and other people around me that are just like, I've literally had birth chart readings before and I've never gotten this kind of information out anybody. But
Laurel Kassor (07:47)
clarity.
Brie Rhiannon (07:48)
also this is resonating so hard and you're making my entire life make sense right now. And
Laurel Kassor (07:53)
Yeah, yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (07:54)
so.
What I really started to look at, because I was just in the rooms that I was in, hearing the conversations and the things that we were working on, and it's all based in classical physics, more,
Laurel Kassor (08:08)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (08:08)
I got into quantum physics, I think all the way back in high school. And it was that, I don't know if you ever saw it, that show, Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman.
Laurel Kassor (08:16)
Yes, actually yes, I d I yeah, I can see the picture the
Brie Rhiannon (08:19)
It was my gateway drug.
Laurel Kassor (08:20)
the title card of it right now. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (08:22)
Yeah, it was my gateway drug
to quantum physics was that show. And it was...
Laurel Kassor (08:27)
Bro, I didn't even
think about that show, but I think you're right. That might have been my gateway too.
Brie Rhiannon (08:30)
I think it was a lot, a lot
of us that are around this, this millennial age and we would have been, you know, teenagers when that show was coming out. Yeah. And we had the internet too, you know,
Laurel Kassor (08:36)
Yeah. I feel I I was fourteen. Fourteen or you know. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (08:42)
so it's we had Google, we had Wikipedia, we have all these additional resources to go online and also go get books and just keep reading.
Laurel Kassor (08:53)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (08:54)
Kind of what happened to me was I just was ooh, all this quantum physics stuff is really cool and parallel timelines and all these thoughts. And I was writing fictional books at the time
Laurel Kassor (09:05)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (09:06)
that would take those things and use them. So the quantum physics for me came first. I felt really bad at physics in, I think it was our junior year of high school. I almost was am I gonna fail this class?
Laurel Kassor (09:20)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (09:21)
It was
not easy for me. So that's the classical physics came in through the engineering job. And
Laurel Kassor (09:27)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (09:28)
that's when I started to look at the zodiac wheel and I was excuse me, by axis, this is just a battery
Laurel Kassor (09:36)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (09:37)
over and over and over again.
Laurel Kassor (09:39)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (09:40)
And each axis is the plus and the minus on the battery.
And the energy is either projective or it's receptive. And okay, wait, this is mechanical. And then
Laurel Kassor (09:47)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (09:48)
after I moved to Denver, I fell really hard into mechanical engineering.
Laurel Kassor (09:52)
Okay, yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (09:53)
And it was precision torque testing, testing of bearings and things that. So it became very physical because vibration testing and frequency testing is still it's more intangible energy that you're measuring.
So after I started to get even more physical, I just started to connect more and more and more and more dots on the astrology. And be like, well, duh, the planets are these physical objects.
Laurel Kassor (10:21)
I think of them as quantum dots.
Brie Rhiannon (10:22)
Well, we and we kind of lost that. we we created it into a 2D image on paper and it's also not moving.
Laurel Kassor (10:31)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (10:31)
So there's a lot of astrology that I think became misunderstood and convoluted.
Laurel Kassor (10:39)
I agree.
Brie Rhiannon (10:40)
And we just lost the plot a little bit.
Laurel Kassor (10:43)
I think that we didn't know what we didn't know when we didn't know it. I think is a lot of the problem. It's just we just
Brie Rhiannon (10:45)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (10:48)
didn't know th things that we know now. We just Yes. Totally. Absolutely.
Brie Rhiannon (10:51)
The game of telephone also, it's such an ancient system. Then
now we have these discrepancies that really confuse people between the ancient rulerships versus the modern rulerships after we discovered the outer planets, after we got the telescopes. And it's like, well, now we found Neptune and we found Uranus and we found Pluto and we found all these other things. And so people forget, well, actually Aquarius was ruled by Saturn. And it's like, I say that and people are like, huh? No, it's not.
Well, yes, it is. And so there's so much that I'm like, OK, no, we need to kind of update the system
Laurel Kassor (11:23)
Update.
Brie Rhiannon (11:25)
a little bit. And it's taking what we've learned because it's I mean, if you really think about it and the years that Isaac Newton was doing his thing and then we got the telescopes and it's really this kind of like few hundred years that we've gotten classical physics. It's really the last I mean,
It's less than 100 years on quantum physics. It's really 50, the huge understandings and the huge breakthroughs that have come through in quantum
Laurel Kassor (11:51)
Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (11:53)
physics.
Laurel Kassor (11:53)
yeah, it's time to update. I I totally agree. That's obviously a huge piece of why I have this podcast here is the creation of my own s system,
Brie Rhiannon (12:00)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (12:01)
Astrology needs evolution.
The world needs evolution. Transformation is happening all around us. It's rooted in vibration. It's rooted in frequency, which is something that I'm hearing a lot of your philosophy
Brie Rhiannon (12:13)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (12:14)
circles around. And that your work is helping people anchor into the transmutations and the frequencies necessary to alchemize.
Brie Rhiannon (12:24)
Understand, I think, is the root because you can't alchemize unless you understand it.
Laurel Kassor (12:30)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (12:31)
And that's where people are really broken and disconnected is that they get fed these spiritual buzzwords alchemy and alchemization and they hear it. They want to do it. Who's teaching them how?
Well, you can't if you don't understand first, because that's what consciousness is. Consciousness
Laurel Kassor (12:50)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (12:51)
is the process at which we are taking in and observing information and information is also still just energy. It's just
Laurel Kassor (12:58)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (12:59)
that we are defining it, which is where frequency comes in, because frequency is the system of measurement
Laurel Kassor (13:06)
Absolutely.
Brie Rhiannon (13:07)
of energy to create the definition, the bandwidth, the level.
at which things are performing. And then all of that is taken in, analyzed, and then that's how it's understood and how
Laurel Kassor (13:20)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (13:20)
it's defined. So you can't alchemize anything if you don't understand it. And then there's this lack of understanding of the self. And we are inherently living in a society that I call being human a video game experience on expert level hard mode.
And you can't change the setting. You can't change the setting. It's when you're playing Mario Kart and you're on Rainbow Road and you're falling off. And it's way too hard. And you go into the setting and you're I'm literally changing it to easy. need the bumpers specifically on Rainbow Road. Nope, you're not allowed. You're not allowed. You're just going to fall off. And it is what it is. And we live in a society that is inherently designed to take people away from themselves, not to help you understand yourself.
Laurel Kassor (14:00)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (14:03)
That is
by design. That's the design of the human experience that we're in this energetic silo, even though we're also this soul that is connected to all and one and the collective and everything. So really what the human experience even is is on the other side, when you're just in the energetic version of you, it's kind of impossible to focus just on you because you're inherently part of the one, part of the
Laurel Kassor (14:24)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (14:27)
all. So we come into the human experience, we come into the human body and no one is in your brain but you.
but you're also still connected to the one and the all and that's what the subconscious is and it still affects you and you still feel it. And then we've done a lot of work to discredit that and be nope, nope, nobody, nope. Uh-uh. And then we are telling people that psychic abilities don't exist. Okay, well, let me just throw more science at you. If the universe itself is made of 97 % dark
matter that we cannot see it, we cannot touch it, we do not understand it at all, but we know it's there and we also know that it's the driving force mechanically behind everything. So we can actually only interact with and see tangibly three percent of it. You're telling me that we wouldn't have built-in senses to help us interact with what we can't see and what is intangible?
Laurel Kassor (15:21)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (15:23)
Absolutely, of course we do.
And that's what the psychic senses are. Every single human being on planet Earth has these built in. Ignoring
Laurel Kassor (15:30)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (15:31)
them is why everybody is so mentally ill.
Laurel Kassor (15:34)
Mm. one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite shows, which I think was quoting a philosopher or something. It's not a measure of success to be well adjusted in a society that is very ill. Yeah. Yeah,
Brie Rhiannon (15:43)
Yeah. Yeah. So
I'm just really big on giving people permission to understand themselves in the way that they technically always have and have been trying
Laurel Kassor (15:58)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (15:58)
to do, but they're surrounded by a system that is telling them no.
Laurel Kassor (16:05)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (16:06)
Every time they're there or almost there, they
Laurel Kassor (16:10)
Я
Brie Rhiannon (16:10)
get taken away from it.
and told no, I'm here to say yes. I'm here to let you say yes.
Laurel Kassor (16:17)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (16:18)
And a lot of what I end up speaking to my clients in sessions ends up being like, feel like I already knew that or like I feel, know, and it's because you did, because you're you and you're the only one that's in your energy and you're
Laurel Kassor (16:33)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (16:34)
the only one. So...
Of course you know it. Of course you know yourself. You just also signed up for the human amnesia.
Laurel Kassor (16:40)
Yeah,
it's just the human experience, man. I know
Brie Rhiannon (16:42)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (16:43)
one of the things I say to my I say on here a lot, and I've always said to my clients when they tell me what's going on in their lives, and it's like no astrologer is ever going to interpret your life better than you telling
Brie Rhiannon (16:56)
No.
Laurel Kassor (16:57)
your story. we will never, ever, ever be able to predict or or anything because you are the one witnessing your tale and your story.
You actually tell us what this shit means. Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
Brie Rhiannon (17:08)
You're the author, you're the author of your own reality.
Laurel Kassor (17:11)
We study what you tell us to make informed insight statements later down the road. But the only reason we know diddly shit about astrology in the first place is because if you listen to the experiences, you get you can see them, you know?
Brie Rhiannon (17:26)
Exactly. So I just explained astrology as your own personal toolbox of energy and
Laurel Kassor (17:31)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (17:32)
it's based in frequency and you have to understand what the toolbox is. I
Laurel Kassor (17:38)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (17:38)
also call the birth chart your factory default settings.
Laurel Kassor (17:41)
Uh-huh, yeah. I call it the soul syllabus. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (17:44)
Yeah, so it's your
factory default settings. You can change those settings and those settings do change. And so there's also, I think, this misconception of astrology where people are also using astrology to say, this is what's wrong with me.
Laurel Kassor (17:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (17:59)
These are why my weaknesses are my weaknesses.
Laurel Kassor (18:02)
I agree.
Brie Rhiannon (18:03)
And I cannot change that. And I'm here to say you're completely and utterly ignoring duality because whatever you see as your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness. And whatever you see as your greatest weakness is also your greatest strength. And it's all
Laurel Kassor (18:14)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (18:15)
two sides of the same coin. And all you are doing is seeking and finding additional information to flip a perspective over on its head. Whatever is yes can become no and whatever is no can become yes.
Laurel Kassor (18:25)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (18:26)
And that's why I
break it down into electrical engineering principles and mechanical engineering principles of projectivity and receptivity. And I turn it mechanical and I take the emotion out of it because
Laurel Kassor (18:35)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (18:36)
sometimes the emotions are the blockages. And
Laurel Kassor (18:38)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (18:39)
so you have to deconstruct from the human binary perspectives of right versus wrong, positive versus negative, good versus evil, strength versus weakness, good versus bad and all of these things.
It's you're, you're, you're reversing the polarity on a lot. And that's what your blockage really is. So if you understand
Laurel Kassor (19:00)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (19:02)
what the polarity is and what direction the energy is flowing, because all energy in motion must remain in motion. So therefore it is flowing a specific direction. We live in a binary system. The,
Laurel Kassor (19:17)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (19:17)
the, it's a right versus left brain.
Laurel Kassor (19:19)
Uh-huh.
Brie Rhiannon (19:19)
We have
a north-south pole on the earth itself. So there's
Laurel Kassor (19:23)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (19:23)
a lot of, I call it breadcrumbs. You have to use the human reality as breadcrumbs to understand the spiritual root and truth because that's where it's all generated from.
Laurel Kassor (19:32)
Absolutely. Hundred percent. Hundred percent.
Ugh, beautiful. Ugh, I could talk I could literally wax philosophical poetics with you all day long.
But let's turn this on to your life story.
Brie Rhiannon (19:46)
Hell yeah.
Laurel Kassor (19:46)
Let's talk about this life story that gave you this perspective and these experiences that shaped this approach to life here. So when we when I get started doing these sessions with people, I to use a technique that was taught to me by one of my early professors It's called the developmental age method. And
Basically, what we're looking at is where planets fall in your chart,
Brie Rhiannon (20:10)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (20:11)
the kind of plots where different formative events or situations or moments were for you.
And
Brie Rhiannon (20:18)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (20:19)
the way that we look at the chart in Soul A.R.C. astrology, it's kind of a prism. And as you turn the prism, then you see different fractals and different lenses into the same patterns and the same energy. And so the first planet that
Falls in your chart corresponds with just a few months after you were born. This
Brie Rhiannon (20:40)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (20:41)
planet is Saturn, it is in Capricorn. The idea with these plot point planets is that you can think of this as the first time you met.
Finger quotes, met this energy in your life. It was the first time your awareness came face to face with this particular aspect of your own awareness and of your own. I like to think of the chart also as an equation to consciousness, and the different positions and aspects are a mathematical equation, but make it frequency and energy, baby. and consciousness. this would be Saturn, this would be Capricorn, this would be so early that this is likely something that would have been told to you later.
Brie Rhiannon (21:17)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (21:17)
Down the road, we're looking at something with literally rules, borders, boundaries. this could have to do with limitations in some way, shape, or form being restricted. it does activate for the first time in your conscious awareness your Scorpio stellium, which you have the Sun, Venus, Pluto, and Mercury.
in a stellium together in Scorpio. So whatever happened at this very early age also brought your to the forefront of your awareness there's something very deep and intense or maybe even scary even though it's a sextile aspect there's it's still it still can have a little intensity to it. So okay let's hear it let's hear it.
Brie Rhiannon (21:59)
You're going to love this because it's going to get super literal. Yeah,
So my mom said it was right around when I was born, they were realizing it was not going to work out living in Pennsylvania. They always made more money back in Texas.
Laurel Kassor (22:11)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (22:12)
And so it's three months into me being born, my dad, when I was little, my dad was full time with the Dallas Mavericks basketball team. And this is when he got that job, apparently was right around when I was born and he actually had to go back to Texas first.
And my mom was by herself up in Pennsylvania with a dinky toddler who's three, my sister, and me, a brand new newborn who was a few months
Laurel Kassor (22:36)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (22:37)
old. And of course, remember back then phones had cords.
Laurel Kassor (22:40)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (22:41)
We did not have cordless phone yet. And so apparently my dad called,
And I'm on the bathroom counter in a, a baby seat.
Laurel Kassor (22:48)
Uh-huh.
Brie Rhiannon (22:49)
And she was in the bathroom, she had me there with her and she was in the bathroom, and I was on the counter and then the phone rings and she knows it's my dad based on the time that he's calling. So she runs to the kitchen
Laurel Kassor (22:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (23:00)
to answer the phone and very shortly hears me wailing my head off
Laurel Kassor (23:05)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (23:05)
and then comes in to find me on the ground. I fell off
Laurel Kassor (23:08)
my gosh. Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (23:09)
the day and counter.
Laurel Kassor (23:10)
my gosh, bruh. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (23:10)
Yeah, I guess I rocked myself off the ca-
I don't know. it's just like, how did you do that? and girl, I have had four concussions. If we count this one total.
Laurel Kassor (23:21)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (23:22)
So I've had a lot in, I wasn't a football player, you know,
so this would be considered my first, my first concussion. And my mom did, she rushed me to the hospital and they were like,
Yeah, I mean, she has a bump she hit her head and, you know, she's okay, but you know, she's definitely has a concussion. And so they gave
Laurel Kassor (23:39)
my gosh. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (23:41)
her the instructions of you know, you got to check the eyes, check the pupils, keep them awake, every few hours be waking them up. it's just
classic protocol with the concussion stuff. But yeah, that is my three month what happened.
Laurel Kassor (23:56)
Wow, my gosh, that's crazy. Number one. how relevant. Okay, let's unpack this a little bit. Because it's also gonna take a little bit of considering how does the three-month-old brain
incorporate that
Brie Rhiannon (24:09)
Right?
Laurel Kassor (24:10)
event, right? there's gonna be a little bit of p pontificating here, but for sure. Let's name out the low-hanging fruit right away. you were you were in one of those kitty chairs. It sounds like you were restricted. Restricted in the seat. Like hello, that's it's so obvious.
that's so obvious. And and it's literally Saturn in the first. So in my system, I
I have 12 pillars. And each Pillar is its own spectrum of consciousness and everything from from plus to minus of that spectrum exists in that. Pillar one is Aries, Mars, the first house, and the conjunction.
Which remember we're dealing with a stellium that came online. A stellium is a series of conjunctions. So we have a lot of different Pillar one activation, even if Mars or Aries aren't online yet themselves. This
Brie Rhiannon (24:55)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (24:56)
energy around survival is already kind of kick kicking in, kicking in. It's my god, we're restricted. And also movement is an element of the first house as it's an area of that first Pillar, which has to do with
movement. So it's literally Saturn in the first house, restrictive movement. It also, I think the I don't disagree that Saturn has to do with the father. In my head I have a small nuance around it.
where it is the authority. I think we're for most of us that is the
Brie Rhiannon (25:26)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (25:26)
father, you know what I mean? the Sun is tied up into the stellium.
with Saturn. So even the sun itself, dad's calling. And so it's kinda like he wasn't present there. He was un unseen removed there. But there was a phone call. There's the Mercury that led to a s to a scary event versus Pluto. But
This relationship you said your mom knew it was him. So there's a couple of different ways that it tie starts to tie in on itself there. But it creates this most of these planets, all of them except for Pluto. So your Sun, your Venus, your Mercury, all in Scorpio, they're in a waning sextile to Saturn, which in my system has a Pillar 11 flare. So it has a little bit of that Uranus like a little bit of Aquarius, like disruptive.
Your mom was busy doing something with you that got interrupted by a phone call from your father.
Brie Rhiannon (26:12)
well, and if it gets
even more literal for you, my mom's an Aquarius Sun, Aquarius Mercury, and then
she and I both share the Cancer Moon.
Laurel Kassor (26:20)
Mmm, mmm. We're gonna go that Cancer Moon is doing some work.
what's really interesting is it's not just that you fell off of the ledge, which also I would associate that as a high as a disruption. you were sitting there, you didn't know there was not gonna be support underneath you.
Brie Rhiannon (26:32)
I was probably trying to be like, I'm coming to follow you mom.
Laurel Kassor (26:36)
Totally,
absolutely, of course. You're just doing what a little child would do.
Brie Rhiannon (26:42)
Wait for me!
Laurel Kassor (26:43)
Yes. And it's what I think is also interesting though is that dad was away on a work haul too. That was work is Saturn, Capricorn, 10th house.
Brie Rhiannon (26:53)
Career, yeah.
Laurel Kassor (26:54)
and this came up all in what you've shared already.
this Pillar ten essence of Saturn, Capricorn, the tenth house, this authority.
energy came in loud. So this idea of there being rules and restrictions, but what I really am getting a little like, whoa, interesting about is not the fall itself. It's the trip to the hospital afterward.
Brie Rhiannon (27:14)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (27:15)
I think is really interesting because how the hell would a three-month-old be interpreting this vi what would be an accident. Ugh. But to you in that
Space, super traumatic, very little awareness to be had, mostly running on complete impulse,
Brie Rhiannon (27:30)
rate.
Laurel Kassor (27:30)
and you're you're hurt. It could feel like torture. They're poking you, they're prodding you, right? they're they're they're sterile. Yes, yes, it's
Brie Rhiannon (27:35)
Right. I'm sure they had to do the cat scan MRI thing.
Laurel Kassor (27:41)
you're you're sterilized, you're isolated, you're restricted again, probably. they probably you're try- you know, there's probably a lot of different.
Brie Rhiannon (27:47)
The
machinery's loud.
Laurel Kassor (27:49)
S
frequencies. Also, I just can't help but think of this idea of being able be so young and being so exposed to very intensive systems themselves at such a at such a vulnerable age, you know, it's like what the body, ingrain. You know what I mean? So there's a lot of very fascinating bits, and it's because of the the Scorpio aspects of it, it makes me feel like
We will really truly never ever fully know. the depths of it. You
Brie Rhiannon (28:17)
Or will we ever understand?
Laurel Kassor (28:19)
know, but it's really interesting and it's clear that's gonna come back to play throughout your story so
Brie Rhiannon (28:24)
A million times, yeah. yeah.
Laurel Kassor (28:27)
many, many, many, many, many, many, many times. So that is super, super fascinating right away.
Brie Rhiannon (28:35)
I always say it kicked off my medical trauma. It's we kicked off, we kicked
off my medical trauma at three months, we just never really stopped.
Laurel Kassor (28:41)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm. Wow, interesting. So I want to ask something else about this time period as well. Because before we got on this call,
You know, I read your questionnaire and you had mentioned being a a child actor for sixteen years.
Brie Rhiannon (28:54)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (28:55)
So I was also wondering, cause I was looking at your chart, 'cause you usually what happens so far on these interviews is that one plot point will lead us naturally or kind of organically into the next one. one of the interesting things I noticed in your chart was how long, you know, long in finger quotes according to this technique that I'm using, how long it w
You
went between that being a formative event and there being no interruption of this structural quality. And so
Brie Rhiannon (29:20)
yeah, yeah, it's I thought that that was what I was gonna do with my life.
Laurel Kassor (29:22)
I was wondering if this is also near when you started being a child actor because of having work so young, working so young and their 10th house influence. So it made me wonder when did that start? Because I this young working,
Brie Rhiannon (29:35)
wasn't
being paid. I didn't do it professionally. So it's I'll explain what it was. it's an after school theater program. It unfortunately doesn't exist anymore. It's an all-you theater called CATS, which stands for
Laurel Kassor (29:48)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (29:49)
Creative Arts Theater School. So it was
Laurel Kassor (29:51)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (29:52)
an acronym. And it was...
they were constantly doing, I was always in a show, I was always in a production and what made it special was it's you're not just taking all your classes there, but we're also putting on all these productions and the the directors are an adult. The costume, director is an adult. The set designer is an adult, but it's actually kids doing all of it. Kids are building the sets. Kids are running the lights. Kids are running the sounds. Kids are literally playing
Laurel Kassor (30:19)
Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (30:20)
every single part.
so it's it was really, really different and really, really cool and something that a lot of people just did not have access to, did not have access to. was really, really lucky. I think I was four. I
Laurel Kassor (30:34)
Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (30:35)
think I was four because really it was my sister and my sister was really shy, but she has a
Laurel Kassor (30:41)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (30:42)
Leo moon and stuff. And so my mom was just looking at her chart and she was how do I help?
this debilitating shy girl who my sister was the kid that's hanging on the parents leg dragging across the floor trying to drop her off at school for the first time.
Laurel Kassor (30:52)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (30:56)
And I was the kid that was like, bye. You
Laurel Kassor (30:59)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (31:00)
know, and so it was just easy to take us to the same place. And she's trying to help my sister come out of her shell, my sister not be so shy. And so my sister's three years older than me and she sticks her in these acting classes.
And then I get stuck in the youngest version of that acting class where we're going on stage playing. Let's have a tea party. So
Laurel Kassor (31:20)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (31:21)
that's how it all started. And then it was People got kind of freaked out about me and it was like, oh, it seems like she's done this before from a very young age. And it was clear that I was just very, very, very advanced.
Laurel Kassor (31:37)
Who was freaking out?
Brie Rhiannon (31:39)
All of the directors, all of the teachers, it was just like, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I've
Laurel Kassor (31:41)
At your talent? Okay. Just making sure I understood.
Brie Rhiannon (31:47)
always kind of been a awake and an adult the whole time.
Laurel Kassor (31:52)
Well that's what I'm thinking, this, everything you're describing, it is through this lens of this technique, right? It is all an echo off of that Saturn. there's the other planets
Brie Rhiannon (32:00)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (32:01)
are are they exist and they have influence and whatever, but it's like sitting in this Saturn. Yes, that's what I'm getting at.
Brie Rhiannon (32:04)
discipline. had discipline. I had discipline at a very young age. I could memorize. I could memorize.
Laurel Kassor (32:11)
so sorry to interrupt, but what I'm I'm thinking back three-month-old you, and what the hell did that do?
Brie Rhiannon (32:16)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (32:16)
And it's I I almost wonder if that event it taught you to be restricted and dis and disciplined and not contained but like
Precise, focused. it gave me, it gives
Brie Rhiannon (32:25)
Precise, yeah, I'm very into precision.
Laurel Kassor (32:28)
this f narrowed in focused energy that almost came out of whatever this energy that carries through into no, I'm born to be a master here. I'm I'm born to go into the the the the depths of this thing.
and sink into it and immerse into it, and be disciplined and be a little adult but yeah, I don't know. Does that make sense?
Brie Rhiannon (32:49)
Yes,
because there's sayings that we have in theater that when I say them, people ask me if I was in the military, where
Laurel Kassor (32:54)
Okay, okay.
Brie Rhiannon (32:56)
we say if you're on time, if you're on time, you're late. And if you're late, it's unacceptable. And
Laurel Kassor (33:00)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (33:01)
when I got into aerospace and I said that in front of somebody, he was were you in the Navy? And I was what? No, I was in theater.
Laurel Kassor (33:07)
it's the wildest thing because you have Mars retrograde in the fifth house. So
Brie Rhiannon (33:10)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (33:11)
it's very funny to me that people are Were you in the military? And you're no, bitch, I was a theater kid, which is so
Brie Rhiannon (33:17)
Yeah, I was a nerd.
Laurel Kassor (33:19)
Mars being militant, the fifth house being theatrical, but the retrograde making everything a little bit funhouse mirror. You know what I mean?
Brie Rhiannon (33:27)
Yeah, it
was fun, but it was it took a lot of discipline. I was triple threat. I'm a classically trained vocalist. They stuck me in voice lessons before I was technically allowed to be. I was too young.
Laurel Kassor (33:36)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (33:36)
I was too young and you were supposed to be 12. And so I'd have to ask my mom. I don't how old was I? How old was I that the guy who taught voice was hey, can I make an exception and just start with her now?
And they said yes. So it's I.
I'd have to do the math of just how many years of classical vocal training do I have? was trained piano. So I started playing piano, I think, in middle school.
Laurel Kassor (34:00)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (34:02)
I probably started dancing in definitely elementary school, but got way more serious about it. Every modality of dance except for point because I didn't have the time. It was it was
Laurel Kassor (34:11)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (34:13)
either choose point or nothing else. So I chose everything else over point.
Laurel Kassor (34:16)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (34:18)
And then of course the acting classes, I took improv comedy classes, I took everything that you can think under the sun. And that's very Mars and Gemini. It's like you're doing it all.
Laurel Kassor (34:27)
Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It's also a lot of different things combining all at once.
Brie Rhiannon (34:32)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (34:33)
let's talk about the Mars in Gemini stuff. Obviously, Jack of all trades
and
Brie Rhiannon (34:38)
cannot be
contained.
ever.
Laurel Kassor (34:41)
very expressive, very bold, very it's i I mean it's just Jack of all trades. And it's in such a fun house, the fifth house. We're seeing a
Brie Rhiannon (34:50)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (34:51)
combination here of Pillar One with Mars bringing in the the impact being the impact.
We have Pillar five with the fifth house and creation. So, literally this idea of creating impact exists here. we're in Gemini, so we're back at Pillar three again. So we got this echo, echo, echo energy. Two, but Mars is retrograde. So we already kind of mentioned how, huh, interesting backward manifestation thing that happened.
There, but it's also come through in the in the story of how you ended up so so far out.
So this Mars, let's talk about this Mars moment.
Here. Obviously, you've been a jack of all trades doing all sorts of hobbies, creative affairs, different forms of self-expression, both probably intellectually and very and even sports, maybe too. that's very Martian. But it looks around 16. It looks about roughly 16-ish, maybe 17, but somewhere in that window. Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (35:45)
It's gonna be 17 and it's gonna be another
concussion.
Laurel Kassor (35:48)
Okay. Yeah, let's hear about it. This is yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (35:53)
yeah,
this happened in front of a live audience.
Laurel Kassor (35:56)
How
very appropriate to the placement in fifth house. Yep.
Brie Rhiannon (35:58)
Yep. Yep.
So this was right before my 17th birthday. It was the week that I was turning 17. It may have been 48 hours before my birthday. So
Laurel Kassor (36:12)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (36:13)
you've also got solar return energy in
Laurel Kassor (36:15)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (36:16)
this if you want to pick that apart.
and it was this show that this is going to sound very confusing because it was not a musical, but it's called the musical comedy murders of the 1940s.
Laurel Kassor (36:26)
Ha ha ha.
Brie Rhiannon (36:28)
It was not a musical. and I was again, this is going to sound very confusing. I apologize. I was a woman playing a man playing a woman.
Laurel Kassor (36:38)
that's funny.
Brie Rhiannon (36:42)
And the very,
very first scene, I was actually the murderer. I was actually the murderer. I was actually the murderer. And so it's a murder mystery show.
Laurel Kassor (36:46)
Mm-hmm. The murderer was me. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (36:52)
And so it's literally the first five minutes of the show. And what it technically is, is the character that I'm playing has a twin brother who kills her. And then I
Laurel Kassor (37:02)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (37:02)
become the twin brother.
Laurel Kassor (37:04)
This is so on the
Brie Rhiannon (37:06)
Ha!
Laurel Kassor (37:07)
nose. This Mars in Gemini in the fifth house? Are you shitting me, right? Bro. Love it.
Brie Rhiannon (37:10)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I told you you're looking to love every one of these because they get they get super literal, right?
So there was this guy who was playing the brother version of me before I then come back on stage and I'm
Laurel Kassor (37:26)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (37:26)
technically supposed to be him, right? But I died.
Laurel Kassor (37:29)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (37:30)
So he kills me. And then it's this 15 minute hilarious
He's trying to stuff my body in various places in this mansion. it was a really cool set that got built. You've got moving bookcases.
Laurel Kassor (37:43)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (37:44)
You've got swiveling bookcase. It's like,
Clue, know, think clue and the way that the house is built. And he is trying to hide my body and it's not working. And so there was this moment where he was supposed to put me up with my back facing the audience.
on the top, the back of a couch. And then I'm supposed to do a back flip as a dead body. So I need to look limp onto the ground. And normally there was a carpet that is also underneath the couch. it just, the carpet was not underneath the couch this day. And so the carpet, my feet hit first and then the carpet slid.
Laurel Kassor (38:17)
no.
Brie Rhiannon (38:17)
And then I have, I lose all control because the carpet becomes what's happening, not me.
Laurel Kassor (38:22)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (38:22)
but
I'm also actively looking limp and actively not in control while also being in control. Stunts, y'all. They're funny. And so I just, bam, slammed my head against the, my mom said it made a cracking noise.
the audience gasped apparently.
I actually passed out and my co-star,
was unaware that I was passed out because I'm a dead body anyway, right? And
Laurel Kassor (38:48)
god.
Brie Rhiannon (38:49)
so he puts me the final moment of this whole shtick is that he puts me in the closet and slams the door and then it blacks it blackout. And then we enter into the next scene and I'm supposed to come out backstage and I didn't.
Laurel Kassor (39:05)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (39:07)
And so finally people are like, where's Brie?
And yeah, I basically I come to and I'm like, I hit my head really hard. Tell me how, tell me how I finished the entire show, finished the entire run of the show.
I actually, you could also possibly consider this a double concussion because when I got checked out, they were like, she actually has two lumps. She has one where she actually hit her head on the stage and she also has one in the back where her brain clearly ricocheted off her skull and hit the other side of her head.
so hard that a lump
Laurel Kassor (39:36)
my god.
Brie Rhiannon (39:38)
formed. it was here and here on my head. I do not remember several months of my life. I lost it really affected my short term memory. I would not remember my day four hours into my day of what did I do earlier today? This was during the time that my mom and I were also traveling around the country. I ended up auditioning for 13.
different four-year BFA musical theater programs in various universities and conservatory programs. And I didn't go to all 13 in person. We selected
Laurel Kassor (40:11)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (40:12)
which ones I went to in person and then it's called unified auditions. And you can go up to Chicago, which is where I did. And then I ended up going to school in Chicago for
Laurel Kassor (40:19)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (40:20)
a year, majoring in musical theater. And I essentially even woke up one day with an eating disorder.
Laurel Kassor (40:26)
Wow.
Brie Rhiannon (40:26)
that I don't really remember starting.
Laurel Kassor (40:28)
Huh.
Brie Rhiannon (40:29)
And then by the time I was back online, I guess, consciously, I was addicted to what I was doing. It was very OCD based. It was like, I need to eat less than 300 calories a day. I need my BMI to be 14
Laurel Kassor (40:44)
And this is still when you're about seventeen?
Brie Rhiannon (40:47)
this is when I was 17. so I remember...
I wasn't 18 yet. I hadn't gone to college yet. I put on my prom dress for prom and we'd already bought it as a size zero. I'm already naturally thin. That's what's kind
of odd about what I was doing because it wasn't for me. The anorexia was not that. I'm too fat and I'm trying to make myself thinner. That's not what it was about for me. So
Laurel Kassor (41:11)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (41:11)
when I put my prom dress on, we'd got it tailored, got it taken in and it was hanging off of me. And I was like,
I am fucked up. I am
doing something bad to myself. I need help. I can't stop doing it. I feel addicted to what I'm doing. And
Laurel Kassor (41:28)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (41:28)
I was trying to, I was abusing laxatives. I was doing
Laurel Kassor (41:31)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (41:31)
so much batshit bonkers stuff that
Laurel Kassor (41:34)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (41:35)
you're just like, Brie, you seem really sane. And I was not.
Laurel Kassor (41:39)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (41:40)
after the concussion.
Laurel Kassor (41:43)
it altered your actions. It it yeah, it altered the way your behavior.
Brie Rhiannon (41:48)
to go to rehab. I went to rehab and it was this accelerated rehab because it was okay, She's supposed to go to college in August, September timeframe. So we basically have three months to get this girl in a good place to let her live a thousand miles away from home for the first time in her life.
While she's also been starving herself to death, I developed early osteoporosis in my lumbar spine. I was in early liver and kidney failure and I started to develop the layer of fat around your heart that you die from. It was not good. It was actually really scary. it was scary. It was scary for
Laurel Kassor (42:22)
Yeah, yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (42:23)
me. It was scary for my parents. I was kind of how the hell did I do this to myself?
it seemed it happened so quickly and they were well, it happened
Laurel Kassor (42:29)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (42:30)
so quickly because you burn over 1500 calories a day just by breathing. They had me breathe into
Laurel Kassor (42:33)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (42:34)
a tube and figure that out. And so they were actually we need you to be eating Michael Phelps. We need you to eat
Laurel Kassor (42:39)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (42:40)
4,000 calories a day. And this is going to be really difficult for you because you're just small.
Laurel Kassor (42:44)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (42:45)
So it was coming up with all those protein drinks, Insure and all these supplemental, liquid versions of calories.
putting me in cooking classes to develop a different relationship with food, nutrition classes, going out to eat was a form of therapy, you were going out to eat in group therapy, and dealing with these irrational as fuck thoughts, the table over there is gonna judge me if I order pasta and crying about it, it was nuts dude.
Laurel Kassor (43:11)
Wow.
Brie Rhiannon (43:12)
and so I'm happy to say I am...
I think it was last year was considered my 15th year. I hit 15 years in recovery. Thank you. Yes, I have never
Laurel Kassor (43:19)
Congrat you freaking lations, babe, that's incredible. Wow.
Brie Rhiannon (43:25)
relapsed, which is like kind of unheard
Laurel Kassor (43:26)
Congrats.
Brie Rhiannon (43:27)
of. The mortality rate on anorexia is actually 70%. So 70 % of people with anorexia actually die.
Laurel Kassor (43:30)
Wow. Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (43:33)
So let alone the relapse rate is like basically 100%. It's like unheard of that you don't relapse.
Laurel Kassor (43:40)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (43:40)
So
super proud of myself that I really
Laurel Kassor (43:42)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (43:43)
took that rehab program. I took it very seriously. They were great. It was you know, hey, there's no such thing as recovered past tense
Laurel Kassor (43:49)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (43:50)
from this. this is kind of a coping mechanism. It's the way you're wired that. Yes.
Laurel Kassor (43:53)
You it's a managing yeah, managing it, yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (43:57)
So it's true that when I get stressed, anxious, upset or even feel out of control in my own life, the first thing that goes for me is my appetite.
Laurel Kassor (44:06)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (44:06)
I end up not even being hungry. they were just really good. They were really good to open my eyes of like, this is actually kind of the way that I'm wired. And then
Laurel Kassor (44:15)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (44:16)
navigating that because I restrict the food or I'm even not hungry or I feel nauseated and I can't eat. So now I do all kinds of things like I have a green smoothie every day. If I can't eat, some of my spiritual experiences are really, really physical.
And so sometimes I just can't eat because I'm genuinely going through an energetic experience that is messing me up to that extent.
Laurel Kassor (44:38)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (44:39)
So it's have bone broth in my house at all times with ginger frozen in my fridge. And I'm still drinking smoothies, still having bone broth and finding a way to always get my, get calories in, get sustenance
Laurel Kassor (44:51)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (44:52)
and take care of myself. So yeah, super proud that I have.
never gone down the rabbit hole or the deep end with that ever again.
Laurel Kassor (44:59)
Yeah,
absolutely. It's a lot to be proud of. That's it, it's that's you should be proud. You should
Brie Rhiannon (45:05)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (45:05)
be proud, absolutely. It's really interesting to see the way it lights up in the chart, too. various, one of the big things I want to pull out from the chart is that yes, this is Mars and Gemini in the fifth house.
It's retrograde, so we mentioned there's gonna be unexpected way, the energy comes through. That's just something we see with retrograde planets. They do the thing that they do, but they're gonna do it a little bit
alt
to how one would be wow, yeah, that fits, but who would have thought it? that seems to be a common thing for retrograde planets. But what is extra fascinating about this placement and and why I believe it is representing the kind of focal point that had so much other stuff attached to it around
care and around successfully transforming which is obviously the big through line that if we're gonna pull anything out of that whole story and
boil it down. It's that you adequately learned the techniques and and capability to successfully make a transformation. Right? So part of that is that this Mars that we're looking at is at the apex, so it's at the tip of what is called a Yod formation, which is to
Brie Rhiannon (46:16)
Yep. Rare.
Laurel Kassor (46:18)
say that it ha is making quincunx both
Opening and closing Quincunxes to a various sets of planets. So on one side, it is making an opening quincunx to and to Uranus. They're both get pulled in here, and those are in the 12th house. You gave us so much stuff around those. We'll come back to it. And then on the other
Brie Rhiannon (46:37)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (46:38)
side of the Mars, it is making
Well, it's making a closing quincunx to Pluto in Scorpio,
Brie Rhiannon (46:44)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (46:45)
but the Sun, Venus, and Mercury are making opening quincunx to it. So there's a
lot of quincunxes going on.
the important thing to note about this bizarre ass aspect.
Is that the opening version of it, the waxing version of it, which we have a lot of those here? Most of these are what are waxing, carries the Pillar six undertone
Brie Rhiannon (47:10)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (47:10)
to it. Pillar six undertone has to do with service and refinement. It is associated with Chiron.
Virgo the sixth house. And so therefore there being this almost compulsive, obsessive, compulsive quality to it is associated with that Pillar that is a piece of how the process between these planets is unfolding. Is that it has this undertone of we gotta fix something. We gotta fix something. It's gotta be fixed. Something is broken here and we've gotta fix it. We've gotta improve it. We gotta critique it. We gotta adjust it. We gotta tweak it. We gotta tweak it. We gotta tweak it. We gotta tweak it. it is very tinkery.
Brie Rhiannon (47:44)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (47:45)
It has a lot to do with health. It gets tied up with health because a lot of health stuff is tinkering.
You're tinkering to find what's gonna work, you know? that's a that's a little bit of just that opening quincunx being so prevalent throughout the course of these different relationships. That Mars, by the way, a planet that represents life force, literally, it's it's the impact, it is the movement planet, as you were saying earlier. we don't nothing exists if there isn't not in motion. it's the motion planet, right? And so a lot of what I've come to identify and see Mars as when it is when it is functioning in high.
capacity it is very alive and passionate and driven when it is operating in a challenge capacity or an unintegrated capacity or is moving through a process of some sort that might be part of the whole soul syllabus
it can relate to unaliveness and the lack of life, the lack of living, right? That that lost the spark kind of energy. And in a retrograde,
Brie Rhiannon (48:44)
I always say I was try to find cowardly long drawn out ways to unalive myself.
Laurel Kassor (48:49)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (48:52)
You know, oops,
I'm not doing this, the one fell swoop attempts a lot the way that other people are. It's I'm making either reckless decisions that almost get it done or
Laurel Kassor (49:04)
Which is also a fifth house thing.
Brie Rhiannon (49:05)
which by the way, now that I say that I forgot, because you pulled out the age 16 and I'm also pulling out the almost turned 17. Oops, I was also in a flood in my car.
That's the summer before this
concussion. was because it was Father's Day. I ruined Father's Day. I ruined Father's Day.
Laurel Kassor (49:20)
man.
Brie Rhiannon (49:22)
it was a friend of mine. Her parents were out of town and I was out of sleep over lying about the fact that the parents were in town. And it's let's go drive around because I have a license now. You know, we can go do stuff. No one's here to make, you know, tell us what we can see more Saturn rules.
Like we were ignoring the rules and then there happened to be what you call a black flood. I was not the only car that even got into it that like it knocked out all the streetlights Yeah, I almost drowned girl it's I was. Water yeah
Laurel Kassor (49:45)
The scene went black, you were in a black flood, you blacked out, hello, dude. Well, this is Neptune. So what I what I'm saying here is like this is
this is the Neptune thing. I mentioned all the quincunxes because I wanted to illustrate. there's a lot of emphasis on there's this need to fix or correct or adjust or tweak or or whatever, right? But the planets involved each have their own thing that they're trying to get Mars.
To do right
Brie Rhiannon (50:11)
Yep.
Laurel Kassor (50:11)
to tweak and adjust. And one of the things, so Uranus will come back to it, makes its presence known a little bit stronger later, but your Neptune is in an exact quincunx to this Mars.
Who,
Brie Rhiannon (50:23)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (50:24)
by the way, isn't an exact sextile to Jupiter, which means Jupiter is in an exact quincunx to Neptune.
Brie Rhiannon (50:33)
You could tell
from my chart how much my soul likes precision.
Laurel Kassor (50:36)
Precision. seriously, that's a key word here, dude. And so this energy with what you just gave us with the flooding in the car is very much Neptune in the 12th. This is Pillar 12, okay? So we got two features of Pillar 12 piling up, which is gonna turn up the likelihood that we're gonna have a very
Pillar 12 type of experience.
Brie Rhiannon (50:56)
Yuck.
Laurel Kassor (50:57)
lived experience, literally almost drowning. And in a black
Brie Rhiannon (51:00)
Whoops.
Laurel Kassor (51:02)
flood, what? Where it's this, you couldn't see it. It's in the 12th house there.
Brie Rhiannon (51:06)
Yup.
Laurel Kassor (51:07)
We're also take this back to the to the performance itself where you blacked the fuck out and you literally went unconscious. Neptune and the 12th house both speak to this quality.
Brie Rhiannon (51:15)
it's all the same year now that I think about it.
Laurel Kassor (51:17)
I'm telling you, I try to get us to talk about.
Specific events to illustrate the various ways astrology does populate in our life, but it doesn't mean it's limited to just that one event. It's kind of this period of time is marked by this essence and this energy
Brie Rhiannon (51:32)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (51:33)
here that's coming through. And what else is super fucking fascinating here is how this the sextile to Jupiter, it's a waning sextile. Mars is Mars is closing in on Jupiter, which brings a Pillar 11 quality of disruption to it.
And and again, these I think of, you know, you're all I Pillar 11, Pillar 12, they're very psychic-y. they're
they're very spiritual, they're very mystical, they're very visionary, they're very downloads and channeling. They're very frequency to me. Like they're
Brie Rhiannon (51:57)
They're the highest frequency. Yeah, they're the highest
frequency. if you look at the wheels a volume dial, you know, it's as you
Laurel Kassor (52:04)
Which I s definitely do. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (52:06)
go through it, it just gets higher and higher and higher and higher and higher frequency. And as I always tell people, the bottom half of the wheel is all of your tangible earth based rulerships. And
Laurel Kassor (52:17)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (52:18)
then after that, you go into the intangible stuff and it's
Laurel Kassor (52:21)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
totally agree. Totally.
Brie Rhiannon (52:23)
higher planes, higher planes of existence and everything. So it's higher frequency.
Laurel Kassor (52:26)
And so we're seeing that this was a throw-in.
In an unexpected way to meeting these energies also you mentioned accelerated, We had to hurry up and figure this out really fucking fast and get this fucking shit fixed if we wanted to get me off to school. I'm supposed to. there's the the the nice
part of the textile to Jupiter and Leo, which is like put on the good show and go to fucking performance school. Hello, that's crazy. Perfor
Brie Rhiannon (52:51)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (52:51)
the way that that is so literal. But it's also really interesting because it did throw you into this super accelerated.
Mars again, but this internal accelerated information circuitry. It's it's almost that concussion. And this is what I also wanted to pull at. concussions are an interesting way that this energy is manifesting. Concussions to me is very Mars retrograde in
Brie Rhiannon (53:10)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (53:11)
Gemini. and through and via performance, right?
That is very on brand for that energy. And so it's interesting to me that part of at least what I is coming through, what I'm seeing in your story, what I know of the work you do, how you described it earlier is these concussions that were almost setting the template in place to force you to learn the rules, the structure, the neuroplasticity, the re
Brie Rhiannon (53:35)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (53:36)
nervous system regulation stuff, the bodily stuff to understanding,
how
Brie Rhiannon (53:41)
had to!
Laurel Kassor (53:42)
to physically rewire and recircuit the brain, Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (53:46)
Yeah, because
the next age you're going to pull out is going to you're going to die. It's another one.
Laurel Kassor (53:50)
Yeah,
The next age, perfect, perfect segue into this. The next age is the moon's age. So it's your moon, it's in Cancer. We know that the moon has to do with memories. You already mentioned there is some memory stuff going on.
so this moon.
is actually gonna activate some of the other stuff and pull in a new feature who we haven't met yet but has been lurking this whole time when I'm really excited to talk about her. But the moon in Cancer in the sixth house, to me, this might have something very much to do with mom.
mom could be a big player in this time period for us. This could be a big health thing and taking care of health. This could be an extension off of some of the earlier themes that we already know exist in your orbit and exist in your frequency there. but this would also likely be a period of time where there's stuff going on with work. I want to note that
your moon, is in an exact opposition to Uranus, who to me
Brie Rhiannon (54:42)
You
Laurel Kassor (54:42)
King of Frequency for real, if any energy is specifically about frequency, it is the Pillar 11 gang, and therefore Uranus. And so it's although you are already speaking to this quality in different bits and bobs.
This would be the time where that understanding of I gotta become some kind of fucking vessel for this otherworldly, unconscious, download fucking epicenter of frequency and unknowable shit that's that it seems to wanna make home with me.
yeah. So the age we'd be looking around is about our mid, mid-mid-ish twenties. I
Brie Rhiannon (55:20)
Yeah.
So I think I was about 23. I
Laurel Kassor (55:25)
Okay.
Brie Rhiannon (55:25)
was a few months away from turning 23. My mom was involved because I, sorry mom, I did this to her in public at a Starbucks.
Laurel Kassor (55:35)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (55:36)
And I had just graduated college. So when you're saying find your work home, yeah, it's you're figuring
Laurel Kassor (55:40)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (55:41)
out what are you going to go do after college and stuff? I moved back in with my parents for a year and a half to save money.
Laurel Kassor (55:44)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (55:46)
And I sat my mom down at Starbucks one day and I was all right, I am still a really good actress. Totally not okay. And I think I have settled on that.
you know, bipolar runs in my family. And
Laurel Kassor (55:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (56:00)
we'd kind of always been on the lookout for it. But I got put on antidepressants when I was 16. And
Laurel Kassor (56:06)
Mm-hmm mm.
Brie Rhiannon (56:08)
it's then that other concussion is it made them not work and stuff. And then also around this time, I had another concussion. The hatchback of my PT Cruiser fell on the very, very top of my head and I had to get four staples in my head.
Luckily, that's also the hardest part of your head,
by definition. So I will say that it was my easiest one.
Laurel Kassor (56:30)
Ha.
Brie Rhiannon (56:30)
It was my easiest concussion that did not screw me up. It more, I think, kind of jolted me into. We need to we need to become honest about
Laurel Kassor (56:39)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (56:40)
we need to become honest about the instability. We need to be honest about the fact that we are experiencing episodes of psychosis.
And there were times in college always around my birthday. so I would be out drinking for my birthday and it would always be alcohol induced episodes of psychosis.
Laurel Kassor (56:58)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (57:00)
And then apparently, and I don't remember them. And that's a key feature of psychosis
Laurel Kassor (57:03)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (57:04)
is that you don't remember. I was apparently locking myself in the bathroom, about to unalive myself or cut myself or harm myself in some way. And my poor roommates.
would be wow, trying to stop this. And there was a time that they had to go tell the leasing office and the leasing office had to call my parents. And so in my mental health, things were coming to a head and
I was very high functioning and also I was very good at being the actress. Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (57:28)
Well your Saturn taught you how to do that very early.
you
had this skill already very developed to move forward through mastery and through containment. Yes.
Brie Rhiannon (57:35)
Yes. Yes. So
I was had I ever succeeded in the whole unaliving thing, I
Laurel Kassor (57:41)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (57:42)
would have been that very, very classic stereotypical story of this extremely high achieving, successful, popular, has friends, her life looks perfect type of thing. And it's
Laurel Kassor (57:54)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (57:56)
then underneath she's drowning and people didn't
Laurel Kassor (57:59)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (58:00)
know or realize or very few people did and then there were very few times that it would come to their surface and be visible and it would show how much, how severe it really
was.
Laurel Kassor (58:11)
that speaks to the nature of the Scorpio stelium
Brie Rhiannon (58:15)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (58:15)
in the tenth house where it's like we're out here in public achieving and accomplishing and doing well objectively, it looks good, but there is a quality of there being something more intense beneath it.
Brie Rhiannon (58:27)
Yeah,
I worked all through getting my degree in fashion merchandising and marketing and my parents did not want me to.
Laurel Kassor (58:34)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (58:35)
They did not, they did not want me doing school and a job. And I was just no, I have to build my resume and I should be in retail. So it's I was doing visual merchandising. I don't, do people remember the store Charming Charlie?
And then I was at Banana Republic.
Laurel Kassor (58:47)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (58:47)
And
so it's I was always working at the same time that I was in school. Technically it was a little accelerated because I lost time majoring in musical theater at a conservatory where I was
Laurel Kassor (59:01)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (59:02)
taking no general education. I took no math, no science, no history, no government. that was not on our education agenda.
So it's then I go to a regular degular university and I kind of had to play catch up. was taking those types of classes in the summer and I still graduated within that
Laurel Kassor (59:21)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (59:21)
four year timeframe, even though I technically lost some time. So yeah, I sat my mom down and I was just I'm so sorry to put us back in the Brie is not okay box because I felt as a
kid that was all I ever did to my parents. Starting at that three months old I had kidney failure when I was five.
Laurel Kassor (59:38)
Mm, mm hmm. Yeah, yeah, mm hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (59:44)
Then I had a bunch of allergies that we were constantly treating. Then it became the mental health. Then it became the eating disorder.
Laurel Kassor (59:49)
Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
Brie Rhiannon (59:52)
And then we had no break and it was just now we need to address I think I'm bipolar. And I was.
Laurel Kassor (59:58)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (59:59)
And so I completely switched medication.
I became stable and so it's when we're honing in on the, she's like this vessel for this stuff, we actually turned it off. We
Laurel Kassor (1:00:10)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:00:10)
actually turned it off is what we did.
Laurel Kassor (1:00:12)
Well so I wanna there's a there's a piece of the chart we haven't mentioned yet and it's a it's really important to everything that you've been describing and it's only un until this point
That it comes into focus and it comes into view and it comes into total, hi over there. What what what you been up to? And that's your your moon, who is where we're stationed right now in the timeline. I mentioned its opposition to Uranus, but not its square to Ceres yet.
Brie Rhiannon (1:00:40)
Ooooo
Laurel Kassor (1:00:41)
And in in this system in Soul A.R.C. astrology, we look at Ceres as the planetary component of Pillar Two. Pillar two has to do with anchoring.
Brie Rhiannon (1:00:50)
It's yeah, it's your Venus, right? like you've switched it.
Laurel Kassor (1:00:50)
And it it's it
yeah, it it does what most people think Venus does. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:00:55)
which is reception. Yep.
Laurel Kassor (1:00:57)
you think Venus does for Taurus is what Ceres actually does.
Brie Rhiannon (1:01:00)
Ceres correct.
Laurel Kassor (1:01:01)
Yeah. and so Ceres, you have Ceres in in Libra, so there is a combo for you.
Brie Rhiannon (1:01:07)
of Venus
with it.
Laurel Kassor (1:01:08)
A Venus
energy in there. Me too. I have Ceres in Libra and I have Venus and Taurus. So I
took a hit myself when I corrected my system. And I
Brie Rhiannon (1:01:16)
Right?
Laurel Kassor (1:01:17)
was goodbye, domicile.
Brie Rhiannon (1:01:19)
Oops.
Laurel Kassor (1:01:20)
Whoops. But but it works. And here we are at if you remember what I said.
Earlier, about one of the things that I learned about is when the Pillar six spectrum is really dysregulated or under-modulating or over-modulating, it can veer towards OCD-type compulsions.
Brie Rhiannon (1:01:37)
Yes. Yep.
Laurel Kassor (1:01:39)
The Pillar two energy, when it is feeling under-modulated or overcompensating, it's it can default into bipolar.
Behavior and tendencies because this is an energy that is about anchoring. It is about comfort. It is about literally being good. You use those words. You literally said the brie not good box, right? this energy is a binary energy. Pillar two is good or bad, hungry or not hungry, safe or not safe, secure or not secure. It doesn't know middle ground.
Brie Rhiannon (1:02:10)
No.
Laurel Kassor (1:02:10)
It only knows uh-huh or uh-uh. It's a very
Brie Rhiannon (1:02:12)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:02:13)
gut type of thing. It is an energy that has a lot to do with dependence.
And not in an addiction sense. Although I wrote down because I forgot to say it earlier, you were talking about how you got kind of addicted to those process,
Neptune. All of this is also connecting back exactly into Neptune, who does all altered states, substances, addiction, escapism, right? So there was this whole this whole Neptune thing. But when I say dependency, when I'm talking about specifically Ceres in Libra,
we're talking about this I I need this thing in order to relate to the world around me. I need this thing. So it could be medicine, it could be a fucking emotional support something, whatever, but it does have a lot to do with this
sense of feeling grounded and the sense of feeling soothed and again stable. And as you shared, you shared a a bit of the story in one sweep, right? You were able to create some balance there, but
Brie Rhiannon (1:03:14)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:03:15)
not at first. And at first you were talking about how it was flinging you into a bit of a little psychosis there. And there we see the opposition from the moon to Uranus, who is Square Ceres as well. And so again there is this
quality that's coming in where there is a disruption to the consistency, which is another thing that Ceres represents, is the consistent, dependable, predictable.
Nature of life. as you had just said out of your mouth, is that you had to have a sit-down with your mom and tell her this thing again. And that the Ceres energy with the Libra, it has to do with least stable stabilizing relationships or not wanting to rock the boat on relationships or keeping them solid, keeping relationships solid, keeping obligations and promises solid. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:04:00)
Yeah, what took me so long to tell her or both my parents,
because it's just felt they just spent my entire life, they're half their lives with me, with me being a problem, with me being a problem, having a problem, being a problem that needed to be fixed.
Laurel Kassor (1:04:15)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:04:16)
They spent so much money. Yeah, it's you know, so it's that's coming out of just I felt so guilty.
Laurel Kassor (1:04:18)
That's a Ceres topic too, way, yeah. Mm-hmm. And
to take care of you is the the underlining thing, which I'm saying because this is moon. This is moon and cancer. is moon and cancer.
Brie Rhiannon (1:04:28)
Right? was you know, I'm supposed to be an adult.
I'm supposed to be graduated. I'm supposed to be starting my career. And I just I was so ashamed and I'm so sorry, you know, just I'm so sorry
that we're to have to do this again. And and it's yeah, it was it was really difficult, because then you're trying to find the right medication. Right. Of you're
Laurel Kassor (1:04:46)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:04:46)
totally switching medication. And the first few that we started, my parents had to be
physically peeling me out of bed to get me awake to go to work. And I had been, I got, I got
Laurel Kassor (1:04:57)
Mm. Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:04:59)
recruited. So it's spent a few months at Nordstrom
Laurel Kassor (1:05:02)
Uh-huh.
Brie Rhiannon (1:05:03)
because most people don't know Nordstrom only hires from within. So even if you want to go to Seattle and be a buyer, in corporate, you have to start at the bottom on the sales floor. So I
Laurel Kassor (1:05:13)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:05:14)
didn't know, I was I don't think I want to be in an office. And I really liked the retail stuff. I love meeting people. love talking to people.
And I feel an office setting would be really, really boring. I ended up not applying for any of the office jobs in the fashion stuff, which I could have Dallas is really heavy on a lot
Laurel Kassor (1:05:29)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:05:29)
of headquarters. And I went to Nordstrom with the you know, maybe I could work up. would be open to moving to Seattle. They're a really great company. they're still family owned. You'll literally meet the brothers working there.
Laurel Kassor (1:05:40)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:05:41)
And I ended up meeting this lady who
used to be a famous as fuck denim designer. And she was building a boutique in Dallas on a really affluent street called Knox Street. And she's I'm looking for a manager and I really like you and would you want to come do this with me? And I ended up, yeah, I got plucked out of Nordstrom after a few months. exact same time.
Laurel Kassor (1:06:03)
And this is still in that same time frame. what's so
fucking cool about that is that I was literally just saying this to a client I've seen earlier today. Damn. I am affirmed in this, let me
Brie Rhiannon (1:06:14)
Hehehehe!
Laurel Kassor (1:06:15)
tell you. because I've been saying it for weeks now. It keeps coming up in this way. Ceres I have observed her time and time and time and time and time a fucking again to
Represent fucking textiles, man. And fabric and fibers. Because that's literally a resource, man. And especially in Libra, hello, aesthetic, pleasing, desirable. I like that. I want that. It looks good. Great. It is
Brie Rhiannon (1:06:38)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:06:38)
fashion. It's fashion, right? But this is that square. This is that moon square you moved. There's moon and cancer. We're moving for work. There's the
work home thing. This kind of came out of nowhere. Plus the substances,
Brie Rhiannon (1:06:46)
Yep. Yeah. Plus, plus the substances, the substances, because I'm trying
new medications.
And so I had, this boss and she was she's so wonderful. I still love her. I will literally even call her any given time.
Laurel Kassor (1:07:00)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:07:01)
And so she knew I was really honest with her in the interview that we did.
Laurel Kassor (1:07:06)
Which is interesting because you had said earlier you had lied about something earlier, and it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was when we were talking about the Mars stuff. So I bring that up to say here we are later down in the lessoning, later down the road, and you were being really honest instead. Yes, exactly. You're becoming very honest, not hiding things.
Brie Rhiannon (1:07:19)
honest. Yeah, I was becoming very honest. I said to this woman in the interview, I
was by the way, I've just switched and I'm bipolar and I'm going to be trying new medications that I've never tried before and I don't know what they're going to do to me.
Laurel Kassor (1:07:34)
So instead of hiding it in shame.
Brie Rhiannon (1:07:36)
Yes, very honest.
Laurel Kassor (1:07:36)
Which is something that you were kind of had been part
of the patterning before you were tur you were beginning to use this very difficult moment of reckoning in a lot of ways to stabilize some of the pieces
Brie Rhiannon (1:07:46)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (1:07:47)
that were always feeling a little bit out of fucking balance. And I say out of balance because this is Ceres in Libra. This is an opposition to Uranus, right? we have this Pillar seven quality of polarity here. And it's I've lived a life doing this other, this one polarity.
Got really good at that, but now let's switch this up, try something different. Let's figure this out, let's try something that works, let's transmute the ways that we've been keeping ourselves safe because clearly that isn't working right now, and it's not it hasn't
Brie Rhiannon (1:08:17)
Right?
Laurel Kassor (1:08:17)
been. And then you've started to actualize, which is another thing I really associate with Pillar two, is the physical density manifestation shit and actual clause and anchoring to reality. And as part of that process, there was instead of hiding in shame, which by the way.
Pillar 12 still in play. We still have Neptune on the table. We still have the 12th house absolutely present. And
Brie Rhiannon (1:08:39)
Present.
Laurel Kassor (1:08:41)
so that's where some of that forgiveness stuff is. That's where some of that shame stuff is. That's also where some of this, kind of surprise offerings out of the blue stuff
Brie Rhiannon (1:08:48)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:08:48)
is coming in, too, from the Uranus, out of the blue. And then also the square itself.
Is
a Pillar 10 square. The moon is in a waning square to Ceres, bringing in another element of work, authority, responsibility, respect, etc. etc. etc. And then we moved for work. I love this, I love this work. I love doing what I do because I do love to see the icky bits.
But I love so much more to see the way the icky bits actually get processed into fucking rad ass bits. You know,
Brie Rhiannon (1:09:17)
Yeah. Yes.
Laurel Kassor (1:09:19)
and it shows you that even when
you're in the middle of transits. You don't have to wait until you're fucking 45 years old for this shit to resolve itself. you work with the energy available to you. You
Brie Rhiannon (1:09:30)
yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:09:30)
use the lessons from the previous experiences that you moved through. And it makes these what can be really tough experiences actually show up and show out. wow, we ended up taking the high end finger quotes out of this experience because we were aligning the
frequency to the actual desirable outcomes that we want by doing the work, by doing the adjustments, by making the tweaks, by by digging and excavating and healing through catharsis, through transformation, through metamorphosis, all those fun fucking evolution alchemy words are, but by going through that process completely and totally, you know?
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:12)
Yep. Yeah. So it's I went on a medication that's technically for epilepsy
Laurel Kassor (1:10:18)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:18)
and it's really commonly used for bipolar.
Laurel Kassor (1:10:20)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:21)
They just basically take the physical tranquilizer aspect out of it. And they've
Laurel Kassor (1:10:24)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:25)
discovered that those emotional switches in your brain are a seizure.
Laurel Kassor (1:10:28)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:30)
It's a form of a seizure. It's electrical.
Laurel Kassor (1:10:32)
Uranus literally being electricity, the moon being emotions,
it is so quite literal for you. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:38)
huh. Yep. And
so I, I started writing when I was eight, eight or
Laurel Kassor (1:10:44)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:44)
nine, I started writing books, fictional, fictional books.
Laurel Kassor (1:10:46)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:10:47)
And so then, you know, I got properly medicated, right? Became really, really stable. I stopped. completely stopped writing. I didn't write for basically a good 10 years.
it was when the hurricanes hit in 2017 that I
Laurel Kassor (1:10:59)
Mm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:11:02)
kind of had this eureka wake up moment to climate change and having
Laurel Kassor (1:11:10)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:11:10)
a personal Soul purpose regarding fighting climate change, working on climate change in some way. I decided that
So the fashion industry is labeled the second most polluting industry in the world. What's the first? The oil and gas industry. Does it count? I don't think so. So
Laurel Kassor (1:11:26)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:11:27)
I would call the fashion industry the most polluting industry of the world. And they're not really doing a good job buying into sustainability. And it's not even easy to find jobs related to sustainability in fashion because of it. So I remember my boss
got approved to carry Dior
And she took her first buying trip to Paris. She didn't take me because she was like,
You know, what if it's overkill?
So she was just not sure if going to Paris was going to become a thing. And she didn't want to waste my time. And she literally came back from Paris and I had to sit her down and be
I woke up to this climate change stuff and
Laurel Kassor (1:12:01)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:12:02)
I'm, this is nuts. I'm gonna sound nuts to you. I don't know what else to do. I don't know what else to tell you I have to be making money. I can't just go join Greenpeace and pick up trash off the beach. I have to do something with my career that makes me feel I am contributing
Laurel Kassor (1:12:17)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:12:18)
to what I see coming.
Laurel Kassor (1:12:20)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:12:21)
And so
she's what are you going to go do? And I'm like, I'm going to go sell energy efficient exterior home remodeling like windows, that help the house use less energy
Laurel Kassor (1:12:29)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:12:30)
and things that. And it reduces people's electricity bills a crazy amount. And I had a friend that was working there and this company was named the number one company for millennials to work for and Fortune magazine
Laurel Kassor (1:12:40)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:12:41)
And so
That's what happened. And I went and I did it and I broke a record at that company and I was their first woman to sell a million dollars in product
in the state of Texas. I was the seventh woman, I think, ever in the history of the company nationally to
Laurel Kassor (1:12:53)
Wow
Brie Rhiannon (1:12:55)
do it. And it's called the Million Dollar Club. And you get to go to a banquet and stuff and get a little trophy.
And so I did that. what actually happened was the RVP of sales was incredibly sexist, incredibly misogynistic to the point of using the analogy or metaphor of picking up a woman at a bar to sleep with you and
how is she gonna do that unless she trusts you in order to have a one night stand as a means of sales training and why the customer has to trust you? Yeah, I am not kidding. I am not kidding. I am not kidding.
Laurel Kassor (1:13:30)
What the fuck, bruh? Dude. No, but honestly,
I'm not that surprised to hear that that's been part of the experience of
Brie Rhiannon (1:13:40)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:13:40)
the workplace just by the nature of you having so many Scorpio planets in the tenth house. Authority Yes,
Brie Rhiannon (1:13:46)
Authority. I have a lot of struggle with authority.
Laurel Kassor (1:13:50)
struggle with authority, power dynamics in play around authority. Yes, a hundred percent.
Brie Rhiannon (1:13:54)
So I ended up
because that company I decided was being very performative. They had it was called the Women's Summit
Laurel Kassor (1:14:02)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:14:03)
and it's look at all these statistics that women do better at this job and it's home remodeling. So it's a male dominated industry construction, you know, But we're going to try and hire more women and deal with more women. This guy fired every woman who ever walked through that door before me, including me and after me.
Laurel Kassor (1:14:21)
mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:14:21)
And so this is obviously before I got fired, I got on a microphone
and I very eloquently and tactfully said all of this and threw him under the bus in front of the CEOs of the company. There's two CEOs. Apparently he got a call from those CEOs and they're why are you not here?
This does not look good. This girl just said all this. What the hell? What the fuck? He found a way to fire me within three weeks.
Laurel Kassor (1:14:44)
I'm sure he did.
Brie Rhiannon (1:14:45)
I technically wanted to sell solar the entire time I was there. And then as a company, they kept being we're gonna get into solar. We are. They sold roofing. So it's why are you not?
Laurel Kassor (1:14:55)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:14:55)
And so they were just really...
dangling a carrot in front of my face honestly for
Laurel Kassor (1:14:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:15:00)
over a year on the solar stuff and then just never rolling it out.
Laurel Kassor (1:15:04)
Literally what what keeps coming through in your story is that every time you hit a ceiling you make the adjustments
Brie Rhiannon (1:15:12)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (1:15:12)
necessary. You learn and relearn if necessary, and reorganize the rules around yourself, which I think is just super relevant to so much of what you do in your current work too,
you know? yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:15:27)
yeah. And so this also coincided
with a really bad breakup. was in a it was an abusive, emotionally abusive, at times, sexually, physically abusive relationship
Laurel Kassor (1:15:37)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:15:39)
for off and on for three, three and a half years.
Laurel Kassor (1:15:42)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:15:43)
And I moved in with him and we were a few months into living together. And I lost this job. And my mom was do you even remember that you got
suicidal and that he called us and you were about to take a bottle of pills and I was like no maybe yeah now that you say that and so it's then I decided to do the solar thing and then within I think a few weeks or a month or so because it was around St. Patrick's Day and I had lost that job the end of January beginning of February time frame I we had another incident
And I was just I can't this this
Laurel Kassor (1:16:14)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:16:15)
whole thing with you. it's just we've broken up, gotten back together so many times. It was the classic cycle of abuse where this person would change for an extended period of time to up to a year and a half, which is why it dragged on for so long. And then it was just reverting right back. He had he had issues with alcoholism and his own substance abuse and things like that. And then things would happen to me and he would do things to me when he was blacked out.
Laurel Kassor (1:16:39)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:16:40)
would not remember and then it's like well then he's not taking ownership or accountability for not remembering those things and then he's doing them to me again and then it's like but no I didn't so it just really came to a head and I was like if I don't get out of this now I'm never gonna get out of this and so I kicked him out
Laurel Kassor (1:16:53)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:16:55)
and I took I went into debt putting a lot of my life on a credit card because I
Laurel Kassor (1:16:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:17:00)
was paying for a two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment that I told them about the situation and they didn't care
And I my dad and I did the math and it was just I know you're going underwater, but you're just going to have to pay for this part apartment and get out of it when you can get out of it and make as much money as you can.
and you will find a means of recovering. And this was the year that I did the Eat, Pray, Love shit. I went to Bali. I went
Laurel Kassor (1:17:21)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:17:25)
on an all women's spiritual retreat to Bali. I had this life coach. I read Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza. I got into heart math, which is a form of neurocardiology for nervous system regulation.
Laurel Kassor (1:17:36)
Mm-hmm. This sounds
exactly like your Jupiter, your Jupiter plot point time.
Brie Rhiannon (1:17:40)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:17:41)
Because it's Jupiter, it's in Leo, it's making direct contact to Neptune in the 12th, it's making direct contact to Mars
and starting to turn things around. It sounds like
Brie Rhiannon (1:17:52)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (1:17:52)
this is would be a period, especially with Jupiter. not that there wasn't challenges, because we'd see that this would be the moment where it's almost
It's time to show up and live the beliefs out, but that means challenging a bunch of the ex past experiences. It is really this critical plot point. And it's the last one we're kind of hit to to your current lived life right now,
Jupiter is understand, Pillar nine is a to understand, to to reach, to expand, to
Brie Rhiannon (1:18:23)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:18:24)
interpret. And so that Jupiter energy was populating around this moment. and bringing back confidence too, because this is Jupiter and Leo, so it is hearkening to how do I fucking
Brie Rhiannon (1:18:35)
love myself.
Laurel Kassor (1:18:36)
Love yes,
exactly. You were saying the heart and space. And it it's worth noting that your Jupiter was making massive squares to your Scorpio stellium. So this is again not one of those, like, it was just so easy. I just went and I did the thing. this a very deep process.
Brie Rhiannon (1:18:53)
I was absolutely drowning. I was drowning
in life.
Laurel Kassor (1:18:56)
And can you
talk a little bit about how what you learned during that time translates into the work you're doing now?
perfect!
Brie Rhiannon (1:19:05)
say it without you even asking. I was about to say this
is when I turned back into the spirituality.
Laurel Kassor (1:19:13)
It's exactly what I would ex suspect. Yeah, I would love to hear about that. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:19:15)
Yeah, yeah.
I went to Bali in October and my mom, think, could see, OK, this is like some eat, pray, love stuff. And it's she's
getting spiritual again. She's in the Saturn return. She's recovering from this breakup. She's recovering from feeling she lost this stuff with the career and rebuilding all of that. And my mom gifted me my first tarot deck.
Laurel Kassor (1:19:39)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:19:40)
and I ended up, she gave me two books, which let's plug the book that everybody needs. It's called, The Ultimate Guide to Tarot by Liz Dean.
Laurel Kassor (1:19:48)
Boom, ultimate guide to tarot.
Brie Rhiannon (1:19:50)
Everybody
go get it. It's on. You can get it on Amazon. And you do not need another tarot book. I'm telling you. You do not need
Laurel Kassor (1:19:55)
Ha ha ha.
Brie Rhiannon (1:19:57)
another tarot book. So it's I my mom was what do you want to do a reading on me just as practice and you can use the book. And so I did. And I remember I had moved out of that apartment that I was in.
moved back to the area that I lived in when, I always was living on water, by the way. I was always had a water view even in Chicago.
Laurel Kassor (1:20:13)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:20:17)
And so I was kind of getting back into my element. So much of my chart is water. And I gave my mom this reading and she was Brie, I've never had a reading this in my life. And.
I've never been so seen and this is really powerful and this is kind of your first one and you technically don't even know what you're doing
Laurel Kassor (1:20:35)
you had mentioned that your mom had mentioned earlier about the intuitive astrology stuff. And
Brie Rhiannon (1:20:39)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:20:40)
that's what's popping back through here. Because you do have Uranus opposite your moon, Uranus having a lot to do with astrology, the moon intuition, the twelfth house, the subconscious. So you do have a very direct pipeline to instant ethereal source download
Brie Rhiannon (1:20:56)
Yeah, yes.
Laurel Kassor (1:20:57)
information, but also the s this Jupiter moment is exactly
In a connection to your Neptune
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:03)
Mm-hmm.
Laurel Kassor (1:21:04)
there. So it's also pooling interpretive, symbolic meaning, very poised to be figuring out and transmuting symbols into meaning.
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:16)
gosh, when I sent my mom what I wrote for my website, she said, who taught you this? And then when
Laurel Kassor (1:21:21)
Hey
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:23)
my podcast, came out, she actually started with the Virgo episode for whatever reason, and she was I learned so much that I'd never thought of.
Laurel Kassor (1:21:32)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:33)
And you made so much make sense that I've never thought of my sister is a Virgo, my sister's Virgo Sun, very heavy Virgo.
Laurel Kassor (1:21:39)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:40)
And
Laurel Kassor (1:21:40)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:40)
so there's just some stuff going on in life that my mom, think, was using my podcast to even understand her own daughter better and understand the experience that she's living.
Laurel Kassor (1:21:48)
Mm-hmm. Well this makes sense
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:49)
it's the student has become the teacher with me and my mom. Yeah, I'm flabbergasted. I'm flabbergasted
Laurel Kassor (1:21:51)
I was literally just gonna say that too. Yeah, yeah, totally.
Brie Rhiannon (1:21:55)
because my mom, y'all, she's been published in astrology magazines over the course of her life. She taught at our local community college. She taught astrology as an elective of ongoing continuing education. So it's my mom.
is kind of not nobody, but she's also not necessarily somebody, you know?
Laurel Kassor (1:22:12)
Well, I think
our whole lives, we hear our parents are going I just wanted to give you the best life I could. I just wanted to give you what I didn't have and blah blah blah. we're supposed to build upon our parents. That's the goal to some extent, right? Is
Brie Rhiannon (1:22:24)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:22:25)
to take what they have laid out for us
And bring it into a new iteration and a new layer and a new level of depth. And so I think that it was very advantageous that your mother was indeed already functioning inside of these realms. It puts you in there pretty early, in addition
Brie Rhiannon (1:22:42)
yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:22:42)
to these other formative events, obviously. But it makes sense to me that, why wouldn't you have given the fact that you're wired the way you're wired, you've lived the reality experiences that you have lived, you have survived not only.
Survived them, but taken and absorbed and metabolized and turned them into sources of empowerment and fuel, and that that wouldn't be propelling your mastery, your expertise, your systems, understanding into new levels that again you didn't know what you didn't know until you knew it. It just so
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:17)
Right.
Laurel Kassor (1:23:18)
happens that you happen to be her daughter, too. You know?
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:20)
It's so special. think we've even
just in the last few months to a year, even kind of realized what it is that our souls are doing because this is birthright.
Laurel Kassor (1:23:32)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:33)
This is the birthright spiritual woman. That's what I am. I am the birthright
Laurel Kassor (1:23:35)
Ooh, juicy.
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:37)
spiritual woman that we made extinct, y'all. we were murdered. We were killed. This is a genocide occurred.
I have chills all over my body as I say this. A genocide occurred
Laurel Kassor (1:23:47)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:49)
on the birthright spiritual woman. She does not exist
Laurel Kassor (1:23:51)
Hm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:52)
anymore. But I do.
Laurel Kassor (1:23:53)
Mm mm mm yes. It's very on brand of renewal, rebirth, the Phoenix rising.
Brie Rhiannon (1:23:57)
Yes, it's the divine feminine resurgence. It's literally, this
is a collective soul contract. So I also know I can't be the only one. I'm not gonna be the only one. It's
there's gonna be so many of us, but it
Laurel Kassor (1:24:09)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:10)
also may more be our generation that is also giving birth to the next ones. And so I'm coming a little bit earlier and
Laurel Kassor (1:24:15)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:18)
it's is the first House Aquarius North node stuff with me. And
Laurel Kassor (1:24:21)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:22)
it's my identity itself with that.
because its Pillar one is identity for you. And
Laurel Kassor (1:24:26)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:28)
so it's my identity itself is this collective awakening experience.
Laurel Kassor (1:24:33)
Yes. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:35)
And I cannot be removed from it, but also it's also trailblazing. It's doing things that other people don't do. It is revolution. It's revolutionary. It's also unexpected.
Laurel Kassor (1:24:43)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:47)
What I haven't mentioned is I'm actually more spiritually connected to my father.
Laurel Kassor (1:24:50)
Mm, interesting.
Brie Rhiannon (1:24:52)
And my dad taught me everything I know about frequency manipulation, personal energy management. My dad grew up very, very, very Catholic. And so
Laurel Kassor (1:24:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:25:00)
even though he's not Catholic anymore, he's
Laurel Kassor (1:25:02)
It's that sun
Jupiter and Leo square the sun in Scorpio is what you just described yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:25:06)
Yes. So my dad is just very mystical.
Yes, my dad is a wizard.
Laurel Kassor (1:25:10)
I it's giving wizard. in the chart it's giving wizard. Yeah. Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:25:16)
So it's just funny because also I get I get my Scorpio from my dad as far as as far as genetic astrology goes, I get
Laurel Kassor (1:25:22)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:25:22)
my Scorpio from my dad.
I get my Aquarius stuff from my mom. I also, think I get my Gemini stuff from my dad. So it's just, my dad was the epitome of this corporate sports finance guy. He was the VP of finance at the Texas Motor Speedway at the same time that he was the salary cap consultant for the Dallas Mavericks.
Laurel Kassor (1:25:45)
Damn,
boy. Talk about that Mars your Mars is in a quincunx to your Scorpio stellium and very close to your sun. I mean,
there's that Mars in the fifth house, sports,
Brie Rhiannon (1:25:55)
my dad,
the people that he worked with, my
Laurel Kassor (1:25:58)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:25:59)
dad was so incognito. people had no clue that they were working with this man who was actually deeply into New Age spirituality.
Laurel Kassor (1:26:09)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:26:10)
He is it's between he and my mom, it's they got me my first psychic mentors out of the family.
Laurel Kassor (1:26:15)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:26:16)
my dad started working with me on energetic management when I was nine. And we were also going into the year 2000 and my dad was doing this stuff with people over the phone to help them raise their vibration. And we were going through this change into the new century.
Laurel Kassor (1:26:33)
Bro, this
is literally your your falling off the counter story though. dad calling frequency change. Had to learn the rules.
Brie Rhiannon (1:26:38)
Yeah. So my, my father is
very, it's I mean, if you even just think about that, those jobs of the corporate finance and I think it's easier to understand with the Mavericks because what his job was, was trading players. They could not trade a player without my dad's signature on it.
Laurel Kassor (1:26:55)
It's just more stop it. It's these
these energies are so fucking literal for you. I
Brie Rhiannon (1:27:01)
Yes!
Laurel Kassor (1:27:02)
mean they're literal for everyone when you have the eyes to see it, you know, but holy shit every
word out of your fucking mouth Shout out daddy
Brie Rhiannon (1:27:09)
I have to shout out my dad. I have to say shout out to my dad because it's like so,
so much of my story does focus on my mom. And I said, we both have the cancer moon and she's the astrologer. She's the spiritual practitioner. And it's that's all, yes, that's true and valid. But I'm actually, when I say that I'm the birthright spiritual practitioner, my dad did it too.
Laurel Kassor (1:27:27)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:27:28)
My dad was the one that knew how to use a pendulum
Laurel Kassor (1:27:30)
So it's
funny, we didn't really name it or or hover on it too long, there, but your your chiron's in cancer
Brie Rhiannon (1:27:38)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:27:38)
and chiron in my system associate with Pillar six, but tools. Tools is one of the things I associate with Chiron, and your Chiron is in the trine to all these Scorpio placements, because it try it's a 27-degree Chiron, but it trines your Mercury, who then pings Pluto, who then pings Venus, who then pings the Sun. So
Brie Rhiannon (1:27:56)
that?
Laurel Kassor (1:27:57)
So it it goes dirr, even if it's
Brie Rhiannon (1:27:59)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (1:27:59)
not in direct connection to the sun, it is by the transitive property, right?
Brie Rhiannon (1:28:04)
Yes.
Laurel Kassor (1:28:05)
And so it's interesting because it's Mercury is student, and so you were a student, but pinged into dad and the sun energy over there had he taught you how to use the tools.
Brie Rhiannon (1:28:16)
My dad
has a huge Sagittarius stellium, by the way. So yeah, it's Sagittarius Sun. It includes Jupiter.
Laurel Kassor (1:28:19)
That's not shocking based on just you described him.
it makes sense to me also why dad's coming up here at this last plot point here. Because it is the Jupiter in Leo. So
Brie Rhiannon (1:28:29)
huh.
Laurel Kassor (1:28:29)
this is you calling out dad. Okay, I know we talked a lot about my mom, but learning what I learned was thanks to my dad. You know what I mean? So it totally checks out. Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:28:39)
I gotta give my dad credit where credit is due. It's even
back when I was on TikTok and doing TikTok live and doing live readings and stuff, which I don't do anymore. But I remember I was no, I feel I got hit by a truck and he was did you not change your frequency? And I was like, I'm so stupid.
Laurel Kassor (1:28:54)
Ha!
Brie Rhiannon (1:28:55)
and so it's my dad.
taught me how to do that. And it's when I teach people how to do this, it's the most simple thing in the world.
Laurel Kassor (1:29:01)
Can you tell us a little bit about that? We're gonna start to land the
plane
Brie Rhiannon (1:29:04)
Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:29:04)
here a little bit. So this feels the perfect segue to hearing about how like you don't have to tell us all your secrets duh you know, but tell us about what you mean with when you say tune the frequency. okay, then tell us
Brie Rhiannon (1:29:12)
yes, it's not secret sauce. want the world to know.
Laurel Kassor (1:29:17)
your secrets.
Brie Rhiannon (1:29:18)
So my dad and I call it frequency manipulation. And of course, as you know, you have your own frequency.
Laurel Kassor (1:29:23)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:29:24)
You can measure these things. You can put an EEG cap on your brain. And what is that reading? That is reading your brainwaves. What are the brainwaves? They are frequency. That is the system of measurement that we have
Laurel Kassor (1:29:33)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:29:34)
all the classifications of beta waves and blah, blah, blah. Right. But
Laurel Kassor (1:29:37)
Correct, yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:29:37)
you can also do it with your heart. So these are our electrical systems and that's your EKG on your heart, but also your nervous system. Your nervous system is also an electrical system as well.
So you as a person have your own frequency, but it's also changing all the time. And how does it change? It changes through your thoughts. Hold their own frequency. Your emotions hold their own frequency. Your intentions hold your own frequency. Your actions that you take hold your own frequency. That frequency projects out and away from you. And the equal and opposite reaction of the laws of physics has to enact. And that frequency gets pushed back towards you. And this is how you define
the reality generation. So this is how you're generating your own reality. So this is also how you give people their power back and you realize that there's so much of this world that makes you feel out of control. And then when you learn this, you're well, actually I'm fully in control of all of it. And it's frequency
Laurel Kassor (1:30:29)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:30:31)
based and that's it. So then this is where I bring in
the relationship with your soul, your higher self, or let's just reduce the woo, let's reduce the spirituality, there is an energetic version of you. It
Laurel Kassor (1:30:45)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:30:46)
is the intangible, energetic version of you. Yes, a bunch of you is housed inside the body, but a bunch of you is not housed inside the body. A vast majority of you, in fact, is not housed
Laurel Kassor (1:30:56)
Mm-hmm mm mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:30:57)
inside the body. So that is...
your higher self, your soul, whatever you want to call it, they are in charge of your energetic management. They are the conductor of your orchestra of energy and your consciousness is the sheet music.
Laurel Kassor (1:31:13)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:31:13)
You tell them what you need. You tell them what you want. So this is when all I say is out loud, will you please change my frequency to whatever it needs to be for me to feel calm and grounded right now? Thank you, thank you, thank you.
And that's, that's, they just do it.
Laurel Kassor (1:31:28)
Hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:31:29)
And it's you can think of it as a computer system and that it's software based and
Laurel Kassor (1:31:35)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:31:36)
that that is giving a command to the software.
Laurel Kassor (1:31:39)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:31:40)
and they're really
the center of the operating system.
Laurel Kassor (1:31:43)
Do you combine this with any sort of physical activity like breath or any movement? Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:31:50)
You can, you don't have to. I find
that humans over complicate and over convolute everything. Yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:31:56)
Who, me?
Brie Rhiannon (1:31:57)
this is even where I'll be very surprising as a practitioner. And there's actually studies that have recently been published. are, I put them in my Facebook group. My Facebook group is my repository of a bunch of scientific full-blown studies and PDFs of stuff. that meditation is actually harmful.
for certain people. neuroscience, neuroscience
Laurel Kassor (1:32:18)
Mm, interesting.
Brie Rhiannon (1:32:20)
is coming out saying, is actually making obsessive compulsive behavior worse. This is actually making anxiety worse. It does,
Laurel Kassor (1:32:24)
Mm. It probably depends on each individual system that that is operating. Like I can
see where walking meditation is so much better. just in the charts. I don't claim to be
a somatic specialist,
but I definitely know that there are some charts that function
Brie Rhiannon (1:32:37)
That's what I look at.
Laurel Kassor (1:32:39)
better when it's like, asking you to sit down is just not it, dude. Yeah,
it's let's find a way to focus you on one thing, yeah, totally. Yeah, is.
Brie Rhiannon (1:32:47)
It's and it's in the chart and you can see it. So it's there
are certain people that it's well, I'm going to teach you to do more somatic, use your body, walking meditations, active meditations, visualization, imagination, self-talk, self-talk
Laurel Kassor (1:33:01)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:33:02)
meditations, because there's this misconception that meditation is becoming quiet and getting lost and having no thoughts and becoming fully peaceful. There's different kinds. Okay. So.
Laurel Kassor (1:33:13)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Correct.
Brie Rhiannon (1:33:15)
That's where I'm the jack of all trades when
Laurel Kassor (1:33:17)
Right.
Brie Rhiannon (1:33:18)
it comes to the modalities because I do not believe in a one size fits all approach. There is no such thing. And then that is unfortunately what capitalism does because capitalism is trying
Laurel Kassor (1:33:27)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:33:28)
to buy and sell solutions to problems. say that capitalism is the perpetuation of problems so that people can come up with solutions to those problems and then charge people for it.
Laurel Kassor (1:33:39)
Checks out, checks out. Brie, how can people connect with you to get this work and explore this work that you're doing?
Brie Rhiannon (1:33:48)
So I have actually a couple of websites. BriRiannon.com
I also have digital products. I have, it's called the Soul Work Workbook that helps you figure out what your soul's purpose, gifts and lessons are. Very simple, it's a three circle Venn diagram
Laurel Kassor (1:34:02)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:34:03)
with overlapping areas of questions, shadow work, journal prompts, things like that.
I also have a, how to decode your personal frequency signature workbook.
Laurel Kassor (1:34:12)
cool.
Brie Rhiannon (1:34:13)
And then I also have an inner adolescence shadow work guide that is very, very meaty. It's 60 pages, five exercises, really closer to eight because my Mars and Gemini cannot be contained.
So that those are my my digital products that I have out so far.
And then people can book with me and I have like various different types of sessions.
if you feel you are at a crossroads in life, crossroads with yourself, your career, relationships, whatever it may be, and you are, starting to get a little overwhelming.
Laurel Kassor (1:34:43)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:34:43)
I'm also the energy of the tower.
And people do tend to fear the tower, but
Laurel Kassor (1:34:47)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:34:48)
it is that energy of, you know, death, destruction, creation, rebirth, rebuild all in one.
Laurel Kassor (1:34:53)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:34:55)
Don't forget the tower rebuilds that it's not, it's not just the hard, the hard part. Right.
Laurel Kassor (1:34:59)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:35:00)
And how do we rebuild? That's me.
Laurel Kassor (1:35:02)
Mmm yes.
Brie Rhiannon (1:35:04)
That's me and it's
you gotta do it through the self understanding, the self discovery, understanding your own energy, understanding your own frequency, understanding how to manage that, understanding how that projects out and away from you and creates your entire reality and that you are the creator of your own world.
And if you want to learn how to do that, it's you can do that with me at any capacity. You can do it through the digital products without me at your own pace.
You can do it with me in one off sessions over time. You can book energy work by itself.
You really want to dive in.
Laurel Kassor (1:35:33)
Absolutely. thank you so much for sharing that. It's so clear that you were made to do this very intentional, hyper-specific, and not just what you're doing, which is hyper-specific, but how you do it and bring it to the individual level for each person that you're engaging with directly. It's so clear that you were made for that because you literally have lived through.
not only transformation, transformation, but the crisis that comes with that crossroads energy. You know, you've really stood right there and anchored yourself
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:03)
A billion times.
Laurel Kassor (1:36:05)
into that energy and and lived it and embodied it. And
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:09)
Yep.
Laurel Kassor (1:36:09)
that is a as you described for us and laid out for us, a very extreme and empowering process
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:16)
yeah.
Laurel Kassor (1:36:17)
to move through. And so who else could you trust
Laurel Kassor (1:36:20)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:21)
Yeah, that's why I keep saying this world keeps telling people no. it's and people also keep telling themselves no. And it's well, I can't apply for that job because I didn't major in that. I don't care. I worked in aerospace engineering and majored in fashion, merchandising and marketing. I don't care. It's your self-limiting beliefs. You are always the one holding you back. It's you. It's you
Laurel Kassor (1:36:38)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:40)
every time, baby.
And so if you
Laurel Kassor (1:36:41)
Mm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:42)
want to fly and if you want to feel this world is your playground, because it is, we did not sign up to be in a trauma factory, y'all.
Laurel Kassor (1:36:51)
for fucking real dude. I know I know my soul loves me more than that. I know I love myself more than that.
Brie Rhiannon (1:36:56)
That I feel that's
kind of we've reached this point in, I guess, human history or the timeline or whatever we want to see it as, right? That it's people have never been unhappier. They have never been more unfulfilled. They have never struggled more. They've never been more traumatized.
Laurel Kassor (1:37:12)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:37:12)
And so
we have this feeling what are we all even doing here? What is even the point? This is awful.
Laurel Kassor (1:37:17)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:37:18)
I don't want to be here. I want to know about this. this is a trauma factory. We did not
Laurel Kassor (1:37:22)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:37:23)
sign up for the human experience to be tortured and traumatized and suffer. Is trauma part of it? Absolutely. Can I remove that? No. Does utopia exist? No, it is a concept.
But you can create paradise within and all of sudden it doesn't matter that the world is a dumpster fire.
Laurel Kassor (1:37:40)
Ugh literally come escape the trauma factory with Brie Rihannon.
Brie Rhiannon (1:37:45)
Yes, that is what
I want to do because it it drives me so crazy. y'all here, I've been through a lot. I have a lot of trauma. I have a whole list of things and there's so much about my life that people are surprised that I'm still here.
Laurel Kassor (1:38:00)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:01)
And also, I forgot to mention I have zero access to serotonin.
Laurel Kassor (1:38:04)
Yeah.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:05)
I have a genetic mutation on my liver. I have zero access to serotonin, I cannot. So it's
If that's the happy chemical.
Laurel Kassor (1:38:12)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:13)
I've been forced in every way, shape and form to stay and not
Laurel Kassor (1:38:18)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:19)
just to survive, but to thrive, which is your second
Laurel Kassor (1:38:21)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:22)
Pillar in that, that second house stuff. And
Laurel Kassor (1:38:24)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:25)
that you said that it's, it's either good or it's bad. And it's either, either it's we're suffering or we're not. And it's the whole world feels they are doing nothing but suffering right now. And I want to change that.
I want to change that because trauma has always been a part of the human experience. War, famine, all these collective experiences, the scary stuff, it's
Laurel Kassor (1:38:46)
Mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:47)
always been a part of the experience. It's never gonna stop. Chaos created this world and it's woven throughout the fabric of the entire reality. So if you don't chaos, I hate to break it to you. It's never gonna end.
Laurel Kassor (1:38:58)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Brie Rhiannon (1:38:59)
And you need
to learn how to navigate it. You need to learn how to love it. You need to know that chaos is your best friend. And it's the creation of this world was created by chaos. Therefore, it's the most powerful energy in existence. just, it makes you feel uncomfortable. It makes you feel anxious. It makes you feel overwhelmed.
that chaos is really there to tell you that yes, you can. Yes, you can.
And that is what I do. That's what I do at the core.
Laurel Kassor (1:39:22)
